Great cards, bad box.
I was really excited to find these cards, because they are the exact ones our teacher has and uses for testing. The cards are beautiful and are full of lots of information and will help me pass my medic class. The bad news about this produce is not the cards, it is the box. I had the box of cards unwrapped for no more than 5 mins and I noticed a dent in the box. I don't know if it was shipped that way or if some how I had already beat it up. Also after opening the box once or twice the sides to the lid started to rip, so I had to tape those so that the lid would stay on. I guess seeing as how the cards are mainly what I wanted I am pretty happy with this order but it is frustrating that the box to hold several hundred cards falls apart so easily. Also the rings that came with the set are cheap and wont close properly, but I just went to walmart and bought another set of them for $1.

this is an excellent set of cards
Overall, this is an excellent set of cards. The reason I gave it 3 stars is because they are missing some information that is required for the Paramedic program I am in. These cards have up to date information on most of the things you would expect like Generic/trade names, mechanism of action, contra-/indications, side effects/adverse reactions and dosages. The things that are missing that I was really hoping to get are: drug class, onset of action, half-life and pregnancy class.

Not all inclusive
Great tool to keep from creating your own drug cards but they do not contain Class or onset of the drug, and the dosages vary greatly from other sources used in my class. So in the end I had to end up writing my own up anyway. Also they are missing about 15% of the drugs listed in our states protocols. So as long as you are planning on using this as a complimentary study tool, not your main study source, then you will be fine.

Big RIP - go for Mediquik
Though there are 570 laminated cards, only the first 95 cards are useful. The rest of the cards repeat the same info that is on the first 95 cards. The flash cards are grouped into six coloured profiles: Master Drug Profile (useful), Mechanism of Action, Indications, Adverse Reactions, Contraindictons, and Dosages. What I like about the 95 cards is that it showed a coloured picture of the drug/ointment/etc . But then in Canada, the medication may look different.Perhaps these 95 medication profiles are commonly used in the prehospital care. For that reason, I am keeping this, but for the same price and if you want something that provides detail info and includes most of the common medications, I would recommend Mediquik. I also have Mediquik, Pharm Phlash, Mosby's Drug Cards, Lange's Pharmacology. However, Mediquik is quite detail and the flashcards are not in colour.
