Visually challenged, magnifiers are important to me. Quality is critical. I have tried & returned many handheld magnifiers. I am no lens expert but from neccessity I have become a consumer authority on lenses. Without quality well designed magnifying units my life is very limited & I am a serious gadget guy, since about age 10. I have examined & tried about every form & design of magnifier. Several turned out to be crazy, like nearly all pocket designs & visors. Visors are too heavy & poorly designed, especially the lights. Even expensive hand held units tend to have poorly placed, to dim or much too bright a light. Quality Carson units are poor with lights, either too bright or dim, or poorly angled. Batteries are issues, multiple stacked button batteries in compartments skilled fingers are challenged to replace! This inexpensive lighted magnifier is the best of its typed I've tried, which surprises me, as it is the cheapest I have tried! The light works well. I was skeptical when I saw it as the kight unit looks odd. But I was surprised at its functionality. Someone put some thought into designing this rimless magnifier. It really is light. So light, I thought this thing matches its low price. Wrong. Its the most usefull I've tried. From a person who must use one of these to read the low quality print on low quality paper instructions that come with most expensive made in China American brand products, I recommend this lens.

I first received this magnifier as a gift. I have macular degeneration and it's often hard to read smaller print or gray print. This magnifier with the light makes it very easy to read print as well as reading on the computer. I use it all the time. I've had it for a good five years but when my grandson dropped and broke it, I quickly looked to replace it. I have other magnifiers including ones with a light but this is the one I go to. I like that it has no rim so I have the entire surface of the magnifying glass to use with no interference from a rim.

This is a simple, very useful tool. If you encounter tiny print — like those pesky user agreements or instruction manuals — or need to see details in a picture, you know, the the usual reasons to have a magnifier, this fills the need. It does not have a protective band around the edges so take care not to scratch it — so far, I’ve managed not to drop OR scratch it. The built-in light is handy and the battery compartment is easy to access. The handle seems sturdy enough for normal use. Bottom line: works as advertised/expected/desired and should serve the user well. I like it so well I bought two more for gifts.

This product is easy to use and the magnifying lens is just the right size. The light helps you read the small print but you don't have to have it on if you don't want. As I get older, this is perfect for me when I am trying to read coupons, look at pictures or for anything when my glasses just aren't cutting it. Because the lens doesn't have a rim, the magnifying glass is all usable and there are no distractions. I would definitely recommend this item for anyone who needs a little help as our eyes age.

Mighty Bright is the best magnifier glass I have ever used! However, I have had the switch fail on one of them after only a few uses.

This is a very clever and helpful product. I've now purchased two of these for my elderly mother, who enjoys doing crossword and seek a word puzzles. It's lightweight but sturdy. So far, the glass has been scratch resistant and the LED light is white and clear. My mom keeps one on the table by her favorite chair and the other is kept by her medications so she can clearly read the small type on the OTC meds and the labels on the prescription medications.

Have one in every room of the house to assist in reading fine print. Very satisfied
