So these are fakes/knockoffs of the real (and trademarked) GrimLoc (R) product?

I have a couple of the real ones that came with a surplus FLC and these are definitely not the same. They feel like they would be weaker and flimsier but so far they're holding up well. I use them to attach random lightweight things to my backpack while cycling. They'll hold the weight of an average water bottle fine. $10 for 10 plus a little pouch is fair in my opinion.

Could I slide an arrow shaft through the eye of the hole? Is it large enough?

Yes the shaft of probably two or three arrows will fit inside one of these, and yes if you have on a large broad head it’ll stop from falling through , that’s if you’re set up is horizontal or vertical. If these are the same as what we had in the military they are strong as hell. And super super versatile!! Great to have

Would these support the weight of a 5lb pouch?

Yes, they can. They can support about 80-90 pounds.
