Phenomenal Customer Service!
My original review of this product is still listed below. However, I felt I needed to update it to include the unexpected, yet absolutely incredible customer service I received from this company!I wrote my original review basically to say that the camera is awesome and takes incredible pictures, but there were some connectivity issues. The company’s response was to contact me directly and offer me a free replacement camera, without requiring me to return the original one, and to give me a refund for the purchase of the original. Surprise 😳, and shock were my response. Not only that, but they continued to communicate with me to make sure I was satisfied. I would recommend any company that supports and stands by their product as well as this one has, and I will do business with them again if I ever need one of their products.Original Review:This camera/microscope works wonderful, as long as it is working. The only issue I have with this camera is that it freezes after about 3-4 pictures are taken, and there’s nothing that I have found to prevent this, or to even know how many pictures you’ll get before it happens. It happens 100% of the time I use it. I finally get it connected to see on my phone, focus in, take 2 pics, and frozen screen again. SOMETIMES you can disconnect it from the phones wifi, turn it completely off, close the app completely (not in standby, but completely closed), then try to reconnect again. This only works about 50% of the time though. You normally just need to be glad you got 2-3 pics, then try again in a few hours or the next day. Quality is worth the money paid, even the intermittent nature is almost worth the cost, but it’s really a hassle most of the time just to get it to work properly.I haven’t been able to use the new camera that I was given, so I can’t update the original review yet, but I will try to remember to change it if the new camera doesn’t have the issues the original one did. Again, I would like to point out that the camera is easy to use, and takes incredibly detailed microscopic pictures and is worth the price paid!

Good product
This met my expectations. Easy to set up, picture quality could be better but it still gets good pic of trichomes.

Very cool
The little microscope. I was able to see pests in my plant soil and identify fungus gnat larvae in my moss pole! It helped me better treat my plants and the problem is now under control.

Absolute Garbage, now that MaxSee doesn't work
Garbage - Totally agree with other "1 star" reviewers. This scope WAS good for WiFi while MaxSee was working. Now, it is a paperweight. I have tried all other apps (Android), and nothing, including the one recommended by Takmly, will work more than 2 seconds before freezing and disconnecting. Too bad, it was good while it lasted. Now it goes into the trash, and I am looking for one of the competitors (that will work).Let me clarify something -At best, it as, in my opinion, a "toy". The adjustment dials are WAY too sensitive, and you really have to have this mounted on something for it to be usable. For coins, on a stable base, where you can eventually set the focus on a specific point and swap coins (not moving the camera), it works well. Move the object, not the camera.More 'clarification' - to give you some idea of the sensitivity of the adjustment dials - on a 'regular' microscope, you could turn a dial maybe 3-5 full times to adjust the same that this does in maybe 1/2 turn. There is no fine tuning unless you are really lucky. For anything else (like looking at trichomes on a growing plant), it is close to useless. You have to be REALLY lucky to hold the camera still, at the right distance, at the right spot, for more than a second to have a chance to snap a photo. Again, a tripod mount would help here, but it was more of a challenge to use than it was worth. To be completely fair - IF you are hooking this up WIRED to a COMPUTER (NOT a phone, NOT using Wifi), and you are using the base (NOT handheld), and you are looking at something like coins, paper money, or fabric that you can slide into the focal area, you should be ok. Wireless, however, go find something else.Update 8/12/24 - after re-reading the review above, I do stand by what I said. I purchased this device when it DID work - when MaxSee worked. I used it for coins, stamps, and observing trichomes. While WILDLY sensitive and almost impossible to use if holding in your hand (I purchased a microphone stand to mount it on so it would be stable for looking at plants), it will work if mounted on a stand, AND connected by a wire to your computer. The wireless connectivity (the only reason I purchased this particular microscope) disappeared when MaxSee stopped working. You would think the company (Takmly) would develop and support their own software for this device, instead of relying on someone else.
