AUKEY Car Phone Mount, Washable Strong Suction Phone Holder with Quick Release Button for iPhone 8/8 Plus / 7/7 Plus, Samsung and More

So I am writing this review after having this phone mount for just over 2 years. It just broke. I got it back in July of 2017. I used this for my Moto X4 phone. It has good suction and the sticky backing of the suction cup helps it to stay on my window even on bumpy roads and would probably help it suction to other slightly rougher surfaces, though I did not try this. I like how it has the padding on the arms and will securely lock onto your phone.A few months ago, the ratcheting device for the arms that locks them in place, started slipping a little if I tried to make a tight fit. Last night on the way home from work, the ratchet piece inside seemed to stop working completely, and the arms would not lock in place and they just kept springing out. I do live in Florida, which may have affected this more than normal being in the sun and heat quite often.Overall, it is a good phone mount while it works, and not a bad price. I give it a 4/5 due to the arm lock mechanism failing.

We bought the product for accidents. We were involved in one where we were sideswiped which caused severe damage to the front end of our 1999 Suburban. We tried to take pictures of the damage and the other vehicles license plate, but were so shook up that we were unsuccessful in taking a simple picture on our I phones. I finally got out my camera and got some pictures. As a result our son bought us this camera. Installing the camera is difficult, you cannot read the display without a magnifying glass to supplement reading glasses. Therefore setting up the basics like date, time, resolution, recording time and camera angle were an issue. The directions are skimpy and I scanned them in so I could expand them on my laptop to a readable format. Conversion of their recording format to something you can manipulate is not spelled out is an adventure that I am in the misted of. So at this point I do not recommend this product until they provide more information on how to convert their files to something one can expand and manipulate so that you can read the license plate on the oncoming car. Another words, an MP4 file.

Only gave 3 stars because one of the foam pieces started coming off after 4 days. I'll probably glue it back myself if I can, but that is a pain. Otherwise works perfectEdit: After using for about a month a found that where the base connects to the cell phone holder is, it has to much wiggle and shake. Not a big deal I still use it fine, but when I try to get it "perfectly centered" in my car, it's tough or I give up. Overall I like it and will use it, and it was super great value for the money I can't complain.

Quality of the holder overall is not bad, but design is questionable. In my case, the cradle at the bottom does not hold my iphone 5s from slipping out. Side grips are okay, but also not great. Both need to be either longer, or have something that wraps around a little to prevent the phone from slipping out. I would not purchase again, but took to long before setting it up/testing it out to return it.* I am updating review just to say that Aukey stands behind their products and offered a replacement product at no cost to me, even without me contacting them to ask for anything. So, you can try their products knowing they are committed to your complete satisfaction.

Great product! I ordered another similar product that cost $18 and I had to send it back, it didn't hold my iPhone 6 securely. The Aukey universal smartphone holder was only $11 and it worked really well. I have a 2015 Honda Civic and the suction cup held on very securely on my dashboard, very easy to use...Love this product and I highly recommend this particular product for anyone looking for a great smartphone holder. Update: This product is still holding up very well on my dashboard...great mount suction and sturdy, I attached it on 6 months ago, hasn't detached yet. I recently bought this item again as a gift for my daughter.

Got this for someone who lost theirs. They keep their phone in the car a lot and this helps them immensely when following directions on the phone without having to handle it, since, you know, that is illegal when driving. It has held well to the dashboard and the sides don't cover up or compress any of the buttons on the side of the iPhone. The sides bars can adjust as needed. Came quickly, works well and didn't break the budget.

placed 1 star because broken I bought on December 2015 and June 2017 is broken, the vacuum suction cup is like butyl type or something that is sticky remains on the windshield very good but, I remove it like 4 times and the last time the vacuum suction cup is broken, all the time left a lot of residue on the windshield hard to removed, start to slept down with the heat that was the reason that i remove it when brokenUpdate: they contacted me after the review and I was not expecting the part is still on warranty! good news!! and good service

Read some bad reviews, said it wasnt steady or held the phone in place.I got mine and quickly used it, obviously you got to make some pressure on the sides that hold the phone, so said phone dont fall off, its an obvious thing to do, pressing it gently wont hold the phone for long.It holds prett well to the glass, even if the lock isnt in place, it will hold for a bit.Bit difficult to unstick it, not a hugr problem tho.
