Kind, Healthy, Tasty!
Our household went vegan, and it was hard to imagine cruelty-free dog food our dogs would enjoy and that would meet their nutritional needs for a reasonable price. ENTER NATURE'S RECIPE! My dogs love this food! They are happy, healthy, glowing, and we're on our third bag.All of my three dogs, including one over 45 lbs., are thriving on this food and have beautiful coats and bright eyes. My Boston terrier loses his hair when food is not optimally nutritious, and he was on a meat-based grain-free brand, but I knew something wasn't good because his hair was thinning. After we switched to this vegetarian recipe, it has grown back. My rat terrier was always inflamed on his feet and belly, around his mouth, and around his eyes and ears. The redness has disappeared, and he's definitely more energetic and more playful.Thank you, Nature's Recipe, for a healthy, cruelty-free food that our entire family appreciates and can afford!

Best Dog Food I've Ever Bought
Both of my dogs (one chocolate lab and one black lab/great dane mutt) absolutely love this food. Usually they won't eat until they're starving (I've tried A LOT of different brands). I was feeding them Alpo, but since I have gone vegan myself, I was hoping to find a veg food for my fur babies that they would actually eat. And this is it. And to top it all off, it has all the nutrients that they need and is actually affordable! I would suggest that at first you mix it with a some of whatever food you were feeding your pet so that they can get used to it. I have never seen my dogs eat all of their food right when I give it to them, and they do just that with this food. It was a total and complete shock. All in all, a great dog food, well worth the money. (The picture is of my 2 fur babies, not really relevant...but I couldn't resist. Sorry not sorry.)

If your dog is itchy, TRY THIS
My dog has been getting super itchy lately. We’ve only had her a little more than a year, and she’s always been a bit itchy and tends to chew at her tail and sides until there’s a hot spot. I’m a vet assistant so my first thought was fleas of course, but my house is treated regularly and all of my pets are on monthly flea prevention and always on time. I couldn’t find a single flea on her, so I ruled that out. She’s also a bit anxious, so another thought was that she was doing it as a nervous habit. There were times she’d lay down and just put her entire foot in her mouth and chew, which can often be attributed to anxiety. But, I wanted trial some things and make sure it wasn’t something I could help before I blame it all on anxiety. Baths weren’t doing a dang thing. After some research I tried her on a grain free food. Well, after just one bowl and throughout the bag, she was itching 5x more than she usually did. She was also gaining a ton of weight! Well, I at least knew that the food was making it worse so I probably could help if I just get her on the right food. I knew I couldn’t keep her on the grain free since it made it worse, and after more research and talking to fellow vet people, decided vegetarian/vegan would be the next best trial. Well, she’s now been eating this vegetarian food for about 5 days and her itching is, well, gone. I literally haven’t noticed her itching or biting a single time. I am home full time right now, so it’s not like she has a chance to do it when I’m not home either. I’ve also noticed her bloated look that she had while eating the grain free is gone. I’m super happy with this food!! Vegetarian for the win!

Good product for allergy prone dog, but packaging sucks
I get this for my allergy prone, sensitive skin dog and he does very well on it. He preferred the other, discontinued flavor, but will eat this as long as I add 'gravy'.My real beef is that Amazon always packs this in a box that's way too large for it. This last time they packed it and 5 other, smaller, items in one huge box and threw in tons of plastic packing pillows - one of the items was a case of 12 cans of dog food. Packing pillows were useless and everything in the box settled to the bottom, all on top of each other - luckily there wasn't anything fragile to get broken. Very poor packing and a huge waste of plastic pillows, which I had to deflate and haul off to recycling. [Packing feedback added here as Amazon doesn't provide another venue for it.]

This is an excellent food for dogs with allergies
One of my dogs has allergies so I limit some ingredients from his diet. He and my other three dogs have eaten this food exclusively for over seven years. They are all healthy and seem to enjoy this food. Contrary to what people think, this vegetarian recipe provides an excellent balanced diet. I generally purchase this food through Chewy.com but recently they have not had this item in stock. Amazon's price is higher than Chewy's and the way Amazon packaged the food is not very good but if I can't get the food from Chewy, I will continue to buy from Amazon.

Might have solved our skin issues
I can't definitively credit this food with solving my dog's chronic skin issues, but it clearly helped. For the first year we had my vizsla-mix rescue, she scratched a lot, the tips of her ears were raw and bloody, and she would chew on her tail when we weren't watching her. We medicated her with Temaril-P and then transitioned to Apoquel and the situation improved, but her tail was still chewed on and her ears still moth-eaten. We got her onto this food and after half of a thirty pound bag, her ears turned gorgeous, her tail got gorgeous, and her coat and skin became ridiculously soft and healthy. By the end of the bag (which I've just re-ordered), she's off the meds. The meds are on the shelf in case she relapses, but she's gorgeous and almost never scratches at this point. She used to scratch a lot and was out of her mind without the meds. I also like the fact that our family's carbon footprint is reduced by this vegetarian dog food. She still gets meaty treats and fish oil on her kibble. I should add that we early on decided that chicken-based food seemed to make her especially itchy, so we avoided chicken. We're curious to see if the perceived chicken allergy was an illusion. Regardless, this food seems to be a key part of our happiness formula.

bien
Mi perrita si se las come pero no son sus favoritas, no se si sea porque estamos lidiando con un problema gástrico o en si por la croqueta.
