Great story for grandkids
My kids love hearing my Mom, their Lola, read this story to them. The illustrations are also wonderful because they are so colorful and have neat detail that captures my kids' attention.

A book for a half-Asian child
I love this book. I bought it for my granddaughter who is - you guessed it - half-Asian, half-American. I would be the Lola (Grandmother). It's a great book, I got it on time, and it was perfect in appearance. I will definitely purchase from this seller again!

Not appropriate for American classrooms
I got this for my ESL classroom since I have a few students from the Philippines and they LOVE having books that represent their culture. I can’t have it in my classroom however because it has the word “chinky” in it! I don’t know how that word is used in the Philippines so I don’t want to harp on it too much, but if you’re looking to diversify your bookshelves it might not be the best choice.

What language used in this book? Tagalog or English?
This is question for the seller because this item doesn't indicated what language used. I'm currently looking a very good Tagalog classic children's books like this for my two biracial children.
