MotoAlliance VIPER Max ATV/UTV Winch 5000lb UTV with 55 feet Steel Cable

I wanted a large enough winch to pull my Polaris Ranger 1000XP CrewCab and all of my cargo with ease. This was the best bang for my buck. I was able to pull up a muddy hill with no problems and further down the trail I pulled a stuck Jeep out of the mud. Meanwhile, my buddy's much smaller UTV was having to manually wind up his Warn 4500 after he tried pulling himself out. I am very happy about this purchase. If you do any kind of offroading, a winch is a no-brainer and at this price it won't let you down.

I haven't had a chance to test it out yet, but I did get everything assembled and play with it in the yard a minute. The wiring is fairly easy, most of it is color coded. The wiring of the dash mounted rocker switch was a bit confusing though. I wish the contactor was built in, like on bigger (truck) winches rather than being loose and out in the open. Easy operation, turn to engage, turn to free spool. Just need a mud hole to put it to the test. This winch comes with a mounting plate which I had welded to a 12" long 2" receiver extender, this allows me to transfer the winch between machines. And I also put a 12" 8 gauge 2 pole quick connect on mine for quick connection to the battery on my machines and easily transfer the winch between machines.

A little noisy i stress a little but seems to be very strong. But you know how all new brooms are they all sweep good at first it’s how long the bristles last of it’s a good broom or not.

Had issues after first use. Would no longer engage or freespoll. Customer service has been good so far to fix the problem. Only thing I didn’t like was having to pay to send it back to get the warranty work done.

Not happy its the wide spool style, so it wont fit without modifying the mount . I will make due. seems like a sturdy product , came with more accessories than i thought. So overall im very happy so far

Good product. heavy duty plenty of wire to wire everything you but the one problem I had was the Solenoid has a plastic base to mount with with all the vibrations afraid it’s going to break.
