Great book with great images makes you think bout the vanishing speacies

I've been following the incredible photography of Joel Sartore & his amazing National Geographic Photo Ark Project for years. I'm disturbed by the increasing number of animal species that are vanishing in just my lifetime. Many of these endangered creatures won't be around for the next generation. I support his project & this book is stunningly gorgeous. Capturing the photos as he's done aren't easy. I've gotten several of these books; one for myself & the others as gifts. The recipients all love & treasure this book & its phenomenal photos as much as I. I'll be ordering more in the future! You won't be disappointed as it's perfect for everyone!

Beautiful book in BEAUTIFUL condition. My son is graduating this December from Earlham College where he has majored in Biology and Art. I gave him this book for Christmas, and he was ECSTATIC. He said they had a copy of it in the Photo Lab at school, and he had borrowed it for a while, and that it had been hard to return it when he left campus. If you like animals, like photography, are education-oriented, or just like beautiful books... this checks all of those boxes. Plus, all proceeds from the sales of these books go directly to National Geographic's Photo Ark initiative, which supports conservation and habitat restoration work around the globe.Highly recommend!

I love these books! This is the third in the Photo Ark series that I have purchased. Beautiful pictures that you can look at over and over.

The Photo Ark book on the world's most vulnerable animals. This beautiful book honors the creatures who most urgently need our care. As always, portraits by Joel Sartore do not disappoint. This book, along with all of the other Photo Ark books provide opportunities to talk with young and old people alike, as to what is happening in our world . . . right now!

I've wanted this book for years, and now I am so lucky to have it. I'm a great admirer of Joel's and the wonderful work he is doing. The photography is beyond beautiful and to see what this animal world has to show us, and to those animals that may soon be gone from us, just breaks my heart. Hopefully they can be saved and Joel's book, hopefully will help with that.

This was a book for my granddaughter. It was a way to illustrate to her how beautiful they are and yet , how fragile their very existence is A beautiful illustration of how important it is to protect them and the planet that they live on.
