Great UFC Game
First off, this is a fighting game. It's not a Madden game. It's a fighting game and much like any fighting game, it takes time to get the controls down. My 51 year old dad bought this and is figuring the controls out. It's a shame that more of the sports centric gamers are having more issues than him. So just sit down, relax, and enjoy the process of learning how to fight.Graphically, game looks great (slight blur, 900p doesn't help). Animations and skin/damage features are top notch. It's 30fps, but I'm living with it. Great audience sounds and commentary. In this day and age, it's important to point out that the online isn't laggy! It's solid and smooth. One thing that sucks for streamers is that the commentary doesn't play back for your audience. If you're into that sort of thing, that will disappoint.I'd write more but I just got it, just like the rest of you who are giving it 1-3 stars for controls. You don't master Street Fighter in a night. Don't expect to do the same with UFC.

Got on first day and i am impressed
First off I must say upon the news of this game coming out I was anticipating it very much. I was very much use to the undisputed game UFC 3 which I played every day because I am a huge UFC fan and that game was also very well made. I only saw improvements for this new game even though it was under a different company in which I expected EA sports to go more in depth.Good-updated roster-graphics are great (ps4)-very realistic-CPU is more challenging and realisticBad-career mode is repetitive but still good-missing some good fighters (Mike Brown, TJ Dilashaw, Tim Kennedy, Tyrone Woodley,)-No event mode-huge fan from the old gameThe bad I believe in my opinion can be outweighed. I am sure they will release DLC for the fighters. They should however release more legends ex. Dan Severn, Mark Coleman, and Renzo Gracie. Also a push for Fedor would have been good in the game and still included Brock Lesner.Beat the career mode in one day on PRO and got Royce and Bruce Lee. Takes some loses but once you complete it it’s all that matters to unlock those guys. The fighter creation is great also more details still missed a few stuff but still great. I see EA revamped so I am guessing the idea is to build on this for the next generation game. It’s a great start and good game if you are a UFC or even MMA fan it’s a good pick up. After the first day you will be used to it and trust me find the game awesome. Also do not base off the DEMO the actual game is good and fighters are individuals ( not everyone fly’s off the cage).

Best fighting game I've played in a while
First game I bought for my new PS4. Seriously so happy with this purchase. This game is so authentic to real fighting. It took a while to get used to all of the different moves and combinations. You get complete control over your move set, from takedowns, to defense, to clinch work, to stand up. Everything is in your control. It's amazing, I can't wait for the second game. If you like UFC or MMA or if you played the old WWE games back in the day, buy this! You won't regret it. Graphics are killer too.

Fun game, but the computer fighters with adamantium chins gotta go
I held off on reviewing the game until I got a chance to get some more hours on it.This game could be great, but it is extremely frustrating. My biggest issue is that the designers made the computer opponents invincible. You can fight a strategic match where you parry and counter attack. Plan your strikes when your energy is the highest and connect with devastating blows instead of throwing blows when your stamina is low.Your opponent's anatomical damage gauge is lava red which appears that he/she will go down at any moment.BUT THEY NEVER DO..Then, all it takes is for the computer to get a few shots in on you and you go down or get knocked out. Even on easy and normal setting attributes. I even tested this on stronger opponents with higher stats against weaker fighters and it's the same. The computer can make big mistakes and leave themselves open after making haymakers and you still can't take them out.The computer doesn't have to block any punches or kicks because they don't seem to have any effect anyway..I can only speculate that the game designers cut corners on adequately developing A.I. on this game to where your virtual opponent would fight more chess like.Instead it appears they overcompensated by giving the computer invincibility to make the game more difficult. If there is a software patch that can correct this, it would be nice.If one wants to set the game on the toughest difficulty and fight opponents with Wolverine's mutant healing factor that should be an option.I look at the stats after the match and I have landed 2 to 3 times as many critical strikes and still lose the fight. It's ridiculous. The submissions are very difficult to apply also. But I will give this game a 3 star review because the graphics and game play is very smooth. And it does have excellent replay value. But the computer fighters with the adamantium chins have to go.

So much for my husband's productive summer....
I have to hand it to EA Sports--the graphics are amazing. Just glancing, it's hard to tell the difference between the game and real bout. My husband plays it all the time and his other PS4 games are now gathering dust. He said that it's extremely challenging, but he's ok with that. Our 9 year old nephew tends to get frustrated with it, so I'm thinking it's more for adults. Great game, great purchase.

I wanted my Pre-order bonus
It is a pretty good game. I pre-ordered, but I never received the code for Bruce Lee. It would be great to play as him, but I am not sure who to contact about the issue. If you played the last two games, it might be hard to get use to the new blocking/parry system as it is just one button now. The whole ground game makes just as little sense as it did in the last two games. Overall, a great game and hopefully the franchise will just get better next time.
