Seed Starting Made Easy
Best seed starter kits I’ve ever used! The trays are sturdy and easy to reuse, and the vented domes really help control humidity. I paired them with heating mats this year, and every single seed I planted sprouted—first time that’s ever happened. They made the whole process simple and successful. Highly recommend!

So far, so good! After much online research and comparison I am glad I bought this set!
I just received this set a few days ago and am happy with the quality of the trays, inserts and covers. I can easily pick them up and feel the sturdiness of the product which is nice knowing that I will receive longer life from them than others I have ordered in the past. I opted for the 5 tray set thinking it would be a good quantity to start out with and see how well the set works for my needs. I like that once I have finished with the seedlings that I can easily clean up the set and easily store it one piece on top of the other for safe keeping and saving space. The set up is simple to do by adding water to tray, seed starting medium to the inserts and using the dibber to help punch holes as needed. I bought some brightly multi colored seed "T" labels that fit well inside the trays while the lid is on. In just a few days I noticed I already have a seedling popping out! I am looking forward to trying the widger tool to remove the seedling and transplant it safely once it is big enough. I like the height of the lids and the option of opening or closing the vents to maintain the level of moisture needed. So far, so good! After much online research and comparison I am glad I bought this set!

A good product but can use some fine tuning.
Compared to other trays I’ve used, these are more durable and a better value. The cell tray is rigid enough to carry on its own once filled with soil, unlike other brands that are flimsy and need a tray for support. I’m impressed with the adjustable vents on the lids. They snap securely in place and won’t fall off like others. The dome material is also thicker than other items on the market which was a pleasant surprise. My only gripes are that the cell tray does not sit tight within the bottom tray and shifts around slightly when handling, and if your not careful with handling, your cell tray can fall out. Likewise, the dome does not snap to the tray for a secure fit. It’s loose and can easily be knocked off or blown off by wind. The sticker strips they give to hold the dome on is just a half hearted solution to the design problem. Removing them to look inside your tray is a real hassle.

Great product, sturdy quality
Great product and a lot sturdy than I have experienced in the past with store-bought trays. I can’t wait to get my September garden in because here in Florida. We get two gross seasons, so I’ve stopped pile these along with a little pellets that make the growing medium

🌱Gardzen 5-Set Seed Starter Tray Kits Review🌱
Ladies and gentlemen, gather 'round and allow me to regale you with the tale of the Gardzen 5-Set Seed Starter Tray Kits. If Ryan Reynolds were to review a seed starter tray, this is exactly how it would go down.First off, let’s talk about the 40-cell tray. Forty cells. That's like having 40 little greenhouses, each with the potential to grow your very own miniature forest. Move over, Johnny Appleseed, there's a new planter in town, and they come with domes and bases. DOMES AND BASES, PEOPLE!These trays are so sturdy that if I were a plant, I’d feel like I’m living in the Ritz-Carlton of soil-based accommodations. With these trays, even your seeds will sprout faster than a Marvel movie marathon. And the domes? Oh, the domes. They’re like little glass ceilings, but ones you can actually break through. They create the perfect climate for your tiny green buddies, making them feel all warm and cozy, like they’re being hugged by Mother Nature herself. 🌞As for the base, it’s the unsung hero of the gardening world. It’s the Batman to your Robin, the Chewbacca to your Han Solo. It keeps everything together, ensuring no water spills onto your brand new gardening apron. You know the one with the cute little pockets and “I Dig Gardening” slogan? Yeah, that one stays dry, thanks to the base.Planting with these trays is so easy, even Deadpool could do it between wisecracks and fourth-wall breaks. Just fill, plant, cover, and voilà! You’re now a proud parent of 40 plant babies.

OK, not great. Tough to water all cells evenly.
The cells along the long edge dry out way faster than middle ones, especially once the cover is removed, which makes it tough to avoid either overwatering 60% of the cells or underwatering 40% of them. I think this is because the cell tray does not fit nicely into the base tray and tends to sag in the middle, meaning the middle cells can touch the bottom of the base tray, and absorb any water that collects down there, while the edge cells are left high and dry. I lost many seedlings that got too much or not enough water as a result. Clear cover also doesn't fit very nicely over the tray, which is not a big deal but could be better.

Great seed starter trays
I love that the clear lids are quite tall, and have adjustable vent holes. Also very happy that the base tray is watertight. My old growing tray had holes that allowed water to seep out through the bottom that ruined a polished surface.I wish that the actual cells that the seeds are placed in were maybe split into 2 or more pieces, as some of my seeds sprouted the very next day and quickly outgrew the lid, but I now know I have to think more carefully about which seeds I choose to share a tray.I like the size and shape of the trays, they take plenty of seeds but are compact enough to remain rigid and firm.I have my second sewing this season just going in, and they were very easy to clean. They feel as though they will last well, and I would purchase the same brand if I needed more than the 5 trays in the set.The price was very good value, I also bought some seed starting blocks of dried soil that just needed rehydrating, and it was a quick and easy way to get seeds started quickly.I recommend adding a heat mat, the trays on my heat mat germinated incredibly quickly and have grown robust seedlings.
