Nakpunar 6 pcs 6 oz French Square Glass Spice Jars with Shakers - Black lids and shaker insert

I purchased in the past and wanted more. However, the size has changed and the new size is too big for my spice rack. Old jars were 1.5" across and new ones are 2" across and 3/8" taller. I'm disappointed that I couldn't get the same thing but otherwise I have loved the ones I have. Had to return this set.

These are excellent. They hold about 3/4 cup (perfect for a Penzy's bulk order) and don't take up any more space than a regular sized spice jar. Since they're square, they also stay with the label facing front. (I use spice racks from Vertical Spice, and the round jars sometimes rotate to the point that you can't read the label.) These come with the little plastic shaker top in addition to the lids. The holes are reasonably sized for most ground spices, but a touch small for non-ground (e.g., oregano, red pepper flakes, etc.). I may try enlarging the holes for those, but in the mean time I just leave the shaker lid off and shake in carefully without it, or use a spoon to distrubute the spice. In all, I'm very pleased with them, and will likely transition my remaining spices to these over time.

Everything's good about these jars.-Square shape makes them easy to arrange and neat looking-Size of each bottle is generous. No need to refill frequently.-Removable sprinkle plastic caps under the lids are great for sprinkling or not.-Plain glass and black styling looks unobtrusive and consistent-Labels stick well to the bottles-Six worked out perfectly for me.-Packaging was the best I've seen, but no wasted space-They look so much neater than the original spice jars.-Frequently used spices can be bought in bulk.-Lids are easier to uncover than those pop-up flaps on many spice jars.I tried a funnel for filling them and realized that it gets dirty after the first spice. I switched to small pieces of tablet notepaper twisted into disposable funnels. The papers held in the jars easily for filling. Takes a couple seconds of practice.

These are nice bottles. They are thick glass, and as someone noted they are similar to the bottles of Archer Farms spices at Target. However they're something like 40% higher capacity (maybe more). I was able to put 4oz of fenugreek in one (that's a powdered spice of the same consistency as curry powder, or coriander). To get that much in, it has to be thumped on the bottom to compact the loose powder though.The sifter holes are too small for dried basil, for example. They'd be good for nutmeg or pepper or a finely ground spice though. I wish they offered a few extra sifters with big holes or even two full sets at this price.These glass jars will not impart odor into your herbs and spices.

These were purchased to store spices. I wanted something that looked and performed similar to the Archer Farms spice bottles. The product arrived on-time. It was complete and unbroken. The product I received was accurately described so it met expectations. The black lids are plastic with a styrofoam pad on the inside to help with the seal. Each bottle also includes a plastic spice shaker insert which I removed because I don't shake out my spices I use measuring spoons in the bottle. Without the spice shaker insert the lids seal well. I don't know how well they would seal with them in. For those wondering how it compares to Archer Farms spice bottles I have included photos.

My wife loves V8 and in Oregon the can deposit in a dime no matter the size (these were 6oz). We bought these bottles so she can get the big 64oz bottle and refill the 1 serving bottles over and over and save $$.

I love these spice jars, this is the second set I bought. They are the perfect size because I’ve bought others from amazon and they were too small, but these are perfect! They have the shaker inside with a complete lid which is important to keep your spices fresh. I’m gonna buy more sets hoping to switch all my spice jars into these soon.
