I owned a much larger Futura model pressure cooker to easily make red beans and rice.The futura was beautiful, but always had pressure leak issues. If you cook beans, you either need to spend all day or get a pressure cooker. Cooked red beans in 30 minutes. I like this manufacturer and this is a good size for me.

Easy to make food in small quantities. Easy to operate. Good price. Good quality.

Disappointed with the quality. We’ve always trusted Prestige for durable cookers, but this one failed in under 2 months. The lid’s weld broke, handle came off, and the screw is too short to fix ourselves. Prestige doesn’t sell replacement lids, just the gasket. so the whole cooker is now useless. Not worth it.

I've been using this little pressure cooker since January of 2020 and there's a lot to like about it. Smaller pressure cookers like this 2L take less time & energy to come up to pressure. I really like the Pressure Indicator as it lets me know what's going on inside the pressure cooker without a pressure gauge.Using a NuWave PIC induction cooktop I have developed recipes where I can easily measure out my ingredients, set my cooktop program and it cooks consistently every time. The induction cooktop maintains the temperature just where I want it and this setup works great for a variety of recipes. I use it for rolled oats - regular or thick, and many others such as rice, beans, soups, etc.This design is intended to release pressure in bursts, sometimes referred to as whistles. There are recipes that call for cooking according to a number of whistles - once the cooker has 'whistled' the requisite number of times, it's done. It's a simple method that doesn't have to take into account how long it takes to get up to pressure, no matter what size cooker or amount of food is being cooked.I've only recently had to replace the metallic safety plug. That needed replacing only because I was using the pressure cooker outside the manufacturer's recommendations. The replacement was affordable and readily available. At some point I might have to look for a replacement gasket but after thousands of uses the original is still holding up.Like all pressure cookers, this isn’t your typical cooking pot and requires some attention. Understand how cooktop pressure cookers work. Keep the safety features in good working order and keep the pressure regulator clean of debris. Take care of this cooking appliance and it’ll last a long time. Recommended.I hope you find this helpful.

Good product

meh.> It has withstood my misbehavior of instant cooling, cracked a bit.> it's okay but spews even if you add just a little bit more than a cup but you will manage.> tiny and easy to carry for traveling

I bought this cooker in October and used it like 4 times. Its fast cooking, so liked it in the beginning. However at the 5th usage, there was a terrible burning smell and the gasket went bad. There was a breakage on it and needs to be replaced. I am very disappointed that this happened. Its Prestige product and I cant believe this broke so quickly. There is no equivalent recommendation for this product that i could find in the user manual. Its trial and error now to find another one that fits this. :(
