Yardistry Faux Glass Privacy Screen with Planter Boxes

Bad start - opened package and no hardware. Yardistry customer support only takes voice mails, although their web site says that they are open 8-5 EST.I received the hardware to assemble approx 1 week after getting contact with customer service.Customer service was capable and English ( or French in one case ) seemed to be their primary language.DO NOT attempt to assemble this without a power screwdriver and at least one spare charged battery. This would be improbable, there seem to be at least 50 screws in each of the planter boxes.It took about 1.5 hours to assemble, instructions could be a little more specific.Once the panels are connected I could not find a way to install the planter boxes without disassembling one side of the panel - fit of the planter into the panel was too tight.Panel frames were chipped in at least 5 place, two badly.Wood has a five year warranty against rot - I don't see how it could possibly hold up without additional finish/painting.I am using this as a privacy screen for a hot tub, and really need another, I'll find some other product.

You can't put together this privacy screen alone, you definitely need someone to help, make sure you sort out all the right screws for the right holes prior to setting up. I wrote additional labeling on each package and laid them out nicely on the floor as I found that the instructions didn't synchronize the screw numbers to the corresponding packages in a common sense way. I'd recommend an electric-powered screwdriver to make things go a little faster. It's great quality.The Plexiglas looks like real glass- the trellis pattern provides the right amount of screening I like. Like most products as these, I do find that not enough manufacturers spend the appropriate amount of time or effort to make a fail-proof instruction sheet. Though this one isn't bad at all, it could always be better. You need to take your time to read carefully and watch the illustrations carefully so you don't get parts mixed up. My helper and I mixed up one part but it didn't end up in disaster and for some odd reason, we ended up with some extra screws. The screws are the best quality. The real cedar smells absolutely beautiful when you first open the box.

Excellent product and very sturdy.

This is a very nice screen and I am very happy to have it on my balcony. However, it is a lot of work for an amateur to put together without help. The two planter boxes arrive as 46 separate pieces that have to be screwed together. Mine came without instructions, but when I contacted the company, they emailed me a PDF. I applied an additional stain/sealant, so the whole process took many hours over a period of weeks. Now if you are an accomplished handy person, I'm sure you can do it a lot faster. However, if you are not, you might want to hire someone to put it together.

Product works as advertised. Provides privacy and looks very nice. Only negative is it did take some time to put together but instructions were easy to follow. Use a drill for screws or you will be there all day. Also, make sure you (as instructed) fill the planter boxes with dirt or something heavy or it will blow/move with even light wind. If the planter boxes have dirt or a flower pot in them, it does not move (or hasn't for me yet)

This is the most annoying thing to put together, there are like 5000 parts, but once you have sweated your butt off and did it, you will love it. Opening the boxes you will be like no way. It did take me like 4 days to finish but it is so cool. I moved from a house to a condo and I took it with me because I liked it so much.

Everything went together smoothly, and it looks great. We plan on getting another one soon.
