Makita B9000 Battery 9000 9.6V

I've used the same original battery (this battery) in my Makita drill regularly since 1992 and it still outlasts my other brands I've had over the years. There is obviously some sort of 'magic' cell in this battery that no one else uses and that's a shame. How can this battery that has worked flawlessly for 19 years, and still works like a champ, still be better than most of the newer ones being sold in other machines?! This has to be the best rechargeable battery that has ever been made. I'm guessing whoever makes the cells for this battery, whether it's Makita or not, made cells for NASA or something!

Had to buy an additional battery for my first battery run drill that I purchased in1982 as year is stamped on the drill. It is not as powerful as the newer drills and the battery does not last as long as the newer drill batteries. However, it is a working tool and I love my tools.

I purchased what I thought was a genuine Makita battery from an Amazon vendor and it turned out to be a knock off generic replacement battery even though they used a picture of a genuine Makita battery and stated the battery was "by Makita". I ended up purchasing this OE battery from Amazon.com for a little higher cost but I wanted the "real thing" based on my years of experience with OE Makita batteries that seem to last a really long time (but unfortunately not forever). Only time will tell about the knock off.

Charged up very well and with a lot of power which lasted during a long job without fading. I would probably rate all 5 stars, but I only used it that once. So far, so very good.

These look exactly like the original batteries but they work like new. Had them several months now and they work fine.

Terrific product at a good price! It's nice to be able to use my drill again without charging it for 10 hours and getting 15 minutes worth of power from it. One piece of advice--buy the brand name battery for you cordless product--seems to make a diffrence for me and my other Makita battery laste many years.

Do not buy the other cheaper imitations. This Makita battery is the only way to go. All you need to do is compare the weight to know the difference. Cheap imitations will not hold a charge and discharge in half the time during use.

Awesome batteries. Love how you can still use your favorite drill!
