Tech Armor Ballistic Glass Screen Protector Designed for Samsung Galaxy S5 (2014) 1 Pack Tempered Glass

It's been one day since I applied this protector, so bear that in mind as I wax semi-rhapsodic...Maybe I applied this protector in a room with very little upholstery, to minimize dust. Maybe I did spend an inordinate amount of time making absolutely certain that every last speck was off my screen. Maybe I used masking tape to hinge the glass protector to one edge of the screen before peeling off the plastic and letting it fall into place (which it did, perfectly). Maybe these things required effort and several extra minutes of my afternoon - but I have to say they, and the ballistic glass protector itself, were well worth it. I am rewarded with a virtually undetectable layer of protection for my screen, which feels as good as the Samsung glass itself, and looks terrific. There's no interference with the touch screen, the home button, or the fingerprint unlocking sensor. There are ZERO bubbles beneath the surface. While I can't vouch for its performance in the event of a drop, I can say that this Tech Armor protector is well packaged and reasonably easy to apply, doesn't add much depth, works fine with my Spigen case, and doesn't compromise the function or appearance of my screen. I'm pleased.Update 3/26/15: I can now comment on the performance - after my phone dropped hard on a tile floor, the Samsung screen is intact, while the Tech Armor protector has several cracks. Mindful of the lifetime warranty, I contacted Tech Armor, and they sent me a new protector at no charge. The process was easy, and the fact that they will replace an item damaged in the course of doing its job is remarkable. They have earned my loyalty and my recommendation.

I bought this to protect my new Samsung S5. It fit perfectly, cutouts were a perfect match for earphone, home button... etc. This is not flimsy like the other plastic films that you usually get along with your phone when you purchase it. It's rigid, like another piece of glass over the top of the surface of the phone. I was worried about how the phones touch screen would work after installation, but I was nicely surprised, when it actually seemed to respond even better. (Seriously!) It didn't effect the sensitivity (may have even improved it) and now it really protects the screen from being broken or scratched. It's like a second layer of Gorilla glass.It was very easy to install, everything needed was provided in the package. I had no problem, as I prepped my area for cleanliness ahead of time, to prevent anything from coming between the two layers and I didn't peel the sticky backing off until I was ready to install it. I lined up the top edges where the earphone piece is and then laid it down slowly from top to bottom. NO BUBBLES..The instructions mentioned that there could be bubbles that may need to be pressed out, and that that was "normal" and they would disappear in a short amount of time, however, I did not experience this issue at all. It went on nicely, smoothly, and you don't even notice it.The next thing I was worried about, was putting on the new outer case to protect the sides and back of phone, (because it's a very snug fitting case) that it might catch and pry up the edges of the glass. BUT it didn't effect it either. The sticky backing is pretty tough.I'm pretty rough on my phones, I'm always throwing my phone in my bag with my keys and other sharp items that could scratch the glass, but so far, after about 3 wks., not one scratch, the glass still looks new and very easy to clean.Wonderful product!!! I recommend it to anyone who is worried about possibly breaking or scratching the glass of their phone. I would definitely buy it again for any future phones needed. Hopefully though, this will protect my phone so that it lasts a very long time.

I've been using the lighter Tech Armor HD protectors for my phones and tablets for years now, and given the cost of my new S5, I decided to pay the premium for something a bit heavier. Even at the increase in cost, it was still comparatively cheaper than most of the competition in this category.While I can't comment on it's ability to withstand shock, as I just finished applying the protector, I can comment on the differences between this and their lighter "HD" line of protectors. The first difference I noticed was it's thickness. The ballistic glass protector is much thicker (and less flexible) than the thinner HD line. The thickness of the protector leaves the home button a bit depressed, but I didn't have difficulty using the fingerprint feature.The rigid design of the protector actually made application easier, as lining up the protector was much more predictable vs. the lighter and more flexible HD protectors. Unlike the HD line, I could also hold the ballistic protector by its sides and simply lower the protector on the screen. Alignment was near perfect, and the protector fit well between the corners of the phone. The protector also worked very well with the Spigen Tough Armor S5 case.The only potential negative I can find so far is that the thickness of the protector makes it much less forgiving when it comes to bubbles, but I can't take a star off for my own mistake. I followed the instructions to the letter, but unfortunately missed a grain of dust. This left a very minor bubble on the screen, even after much pushing. While mostly unnoticeable, it can produce a slight discoloration when bright colors are on the screen. Unfortunately because I did not notice this until after the protector had set, and because it's not designed to be removed after setting, I'll have to deal with it.Finally the texture and feel of the ballistic protector is much smoother and resistant to finger prints vs. the thinner HD protectors. Overall I'd recommend this protector over the HD just because it's noticeably thicker, yet smoother and just a bit clearer. Just make sure that you THOROUGHLY clean your screen and clear all dust with the included stickers; otherwise you may end up with very slight bubbles that won't go away.2015-11-28 UPDATE: my screen protector developed a crack (still exactly unsure how)! I contacted customer service, and they guided me through the process of a warranty replacement, and just finished installing the new protector without issues. I'm pleased to report that only the protector cracked, saving me hundreds on a replacement screen.Given this, I would not hesitate to recommend Tech Amor products. Thank you!!!

Luego de año y medio de uso sigue como nueva y eso que suelo guardar el celular en la bolsa del pantalón en la que también pongo mis llaves o monedas, sin duda lo recomiendo, fácil instalación, excelente embalaje para la protección del producto, instrucciones claras. En definitiva adquiriré productos de esta compañía para mis otros dispositivos.

Installed Tech Armor Ballistic glass cover about a month ago on my Samsung S5. Very easy to install following exceptional instructions and video. Beveled edges. Crystal clear. Perfect fit. No tactile resistance to finger. Wonderful to use. Very resistant to dirt and oils. Just a quick dry wipe occasionally. Used HD Clear prior. Also good. But. Get the Ballistic glass. Ultra scratch and scrape protection and will sacrifice itself to save your screen. Goes beyond my expectations. Mine remains PERFECT. Although I'm extra careful to not drop my phone...... I did it! The phone has a good quality cover but the phone landed on a ceramic tile floor. And yes.... the ballistic glass cover did it's job. The screen cover suffered a diagonal crack all the way across the it's surface. I quickly ordered another Tech Armor Ballistic glass cover. It arrived within two days and has been installed to replace the broken one. The actual phone screen remained perfect with the glass cover doing it's intended job. I probably saved my phone screen! I'm a strong advocate for Tech Armor because the product is truly excellent of highest quality ..... and is reasonably priced. I doubt there is a better choice out there. I do suggest to look at their video and others available re- installation. Be certain your glass screen is 100 % clean and dust free. If not your careful installation with be unsatisfactory showing a bubble under the cover. Dust particles under the screen protector will be visible and disappointing. The Tech Armor package arrives with everything you need to do a perfect installation. I have no vested interest in this company and I purchase through Amazon at retail price .

J'ai hésité avant de prendre ce produit car il y avait peu de commentaires sur Amazon, mais sur le site Amazon US il y a pas mal de commentaires positifs. La notice est en anglais mais il y a peu de choses à faire. Dans la boite une lingette imbibée d’alcool, un chiffon micro fibre du papier collant. A la pose, pas de problèmes bien nettoyer l'écran, astuce mettre une partie du papier collant (qui sert à enlever la poussière) sur la partie supérieur de la vitre, car une fois la vitre placée sur l'écran, si on a pas appuyée dessus il est possible de se servir du papier pas collé dont on a laissé un bout décollé, pour déplacer la vitre, tant que l'on a pas appuyé la vitre peu bougée, glissée et positionnée. Une fois bien placée sur l’écran appuyer en faisant une croix au milieu de l'écran en partie de la largeur, puis la longueur et chasser l'air , c'est collé et sans bulle et cela tient dans les coins. Par contre évitez de faire comme moi de mettre un doigt sur la partie devant adhérer à l'écran cela laisse une trace de l'empreinte du doigt, pour moi c'est sur le bas de l'écran donc pas grave.Le touché de l'écran une fois collée est pour moi semblable à l'écran d'origine lisse et agréable et pas de pertes de luminosité. J'apprécie l'absence de bulle lors de la mise en place et c'est nettement meilleur que les plastiques souples faisant des bulles et pas agréable au touché. Satisfait de mon achat, à voir dans le temps la solidité, mais le produit est garantie à vie ce qui rassure.

Me cayó desde una altura de un metro y no sufrió ningún daño. Estéticamente esta bien. Lo recomiendo aunque debe comprarse también un protector del cristal
