Thin tubing nearly impossible to advance, getting hung up in the "head" of the swan.Ended up devising a stent to bypass the head (saccular aneurysm), but also needed to insert a guide wire in the tubing to both straighten and stiffen the tubing.With all that, I was able to advance the tip of the tube to nearly the entrance to the body of swan (red circle). Guide wire tip at Apex of neck. (Green arrow).I'm hoping that tip is far enough along to avoid airlock.Need distilled water, will modify review when I can actually fill the item.Overall, interesting idea but extremely difficult to actually implement. I wonder how many purchasers actually get this to work.

It was a little frustrating but I finally got the Swan filled with fluid. I chose to color the water blue because I thought it would be pretty. It is pretty BUT in the following days I found a little puddle of blue liquid right next to the Swan. So I figured maybe I overfilled it so I set it on a paper plate and over the preceding weeks it just spit out more and more liquid to the point now where it doesn't work like like it's supposed to. I figured once it got to the point of having the proper amount of liquid it would be fine but it never was. So now it's just a pretty Swan filled with a little blue liquid on a paper plate on my shelf. Unhappy.

There's a trick to filling this tricky-to-fill barometer - put the hose in the refrigerator, first!It makes the pesky little hose much more rigid and it goes right in!(We put it in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes)Also, be sure to fill it to above the neck for it to work properly. These water barometers are amazingly accurate!

Fun novelty item. Can be a touch tricky to initially fill but if you straighten the tube as much as possible it will fill easily. It behaves exactly as expected accurately predicting weather changes....never fails, just wish it could predict what changes :-) We have a lot of fun guessing what's coming now that tells us "something" is changing.

Gave this to my Mom as a gift and both my parents (in 70s and 80s) have commented on it multiple times. So seems like a good gift.

I purchased this for its decorative value. However, it does show changes in air pressure.

I have had this for al least one month ( I know longer but not sure how long ) . When I got him and took the time to get the plastic tube down his neck and into the belly it took almost one whole week. I then got the water and food color and place that in him. I took him upstairs and placed him out in our garage and then waited to see what was going to happen. The next day it started to rise and then got way up and said yeah he works. I then noticed the next day while at work we had tornado warning and then found that some of the liquid came out. Now since that time he has not worked at all. The level never rises or goes down it is even with his belly. He has tons of condensation in him also. I then took this in the house and emptied this out and then tried all over and still nothing. (I call this swan "him" as like the hubby it sits and does nothing) :)

The first one I ordered arrive weeks earlier than I expected but unfortunately it was broken when it arrived. A message to the seller and it was replaced quickly, still arriving in plenty of time to be given for the birthday. It was a little hard to get the filling tube down the neck of the swan but once in place was easy to fill. Now I am waiting to hear if it reacts to the changes in atmosphere.
