I have been using this yoga mat for about a week in my hot yoga classes. Previously, I had been using a thicker smushy mat, but was advised on a thinner more sturdy mat to achieve better balance during my poses. While this mat will not solve crimes or promote world peace, it can help achieve inner balance and peace during yoga practice.I ordered the violet color. It's hard to caption the color in photos, but one side is purple and the other is a lavender shade. Each side is imprinted or grooved. The lighter, lavender side is the side I prefer to face the ground.The mat is light, easy to roll up and tuck into the strap which comes with the purchase. Cleaning it is easy, and just in case, instructions are provided and to warn against putting the mat in the laundry machine to clean (one can only imagine the sorry yogi that decided to throw the mat in with the laundry).Anyways, good mat for hot yoga. Reasonably priced. Good quality.

I have used a few yoga mats that really didn't help keep you in place while you were doing your exercise. This mat, however, has grooved material on both sides to help prevent slipping. I'm not sure how it will do if it gets damp from perspiration, as I've not used it while "working out" but just for stretching. I would like it to be a bit thicker, but it is most definitely better than using just the floor. The edge that is on the interior of the roll when stored takes some time to lay flat, but I just pinned it down with my dog's bed to keep it on place. If you don't have to roll it up each time after using it, I'm sure it would flatten on its own.

This mat did not meet my expectations at all. It is very thin, so provides little to no padding. It also stays curled at the ends and stretches when I try to use on hardwoods. If you have carpet this may work but it’s best to look elsewhere imo

GREAT MAT. Nice and thick which is a plus bc my knees sometimes needs the extra cushioning. I use it for yoga and working out. Brought it to replace a less effective mat and I could tell a difference straight out the bag. No weird smell or sticky residue. Quality backing that keeps from slipping and sliding around the gym floor. Easy to wipe off and clean off. Well worth the price bc I only needed one (in past brought and doubled up). Waited to review bc I know sometime the areas that u hit often can flatten out...... No flattening. All around good mat

The mat came with wrinkles in the material from packing that didn’t go away. It wouldn’t lay flat on the surface, one of the ends will remain curled. After one use the material looks like it has been used for a year. Great comfort with bad quality

So hubby is building a gym/man cave in our garage and he said the ground is too dirty and hard to do workouts. I suggested a yoga mat and at first he thought it was too “girly” but I ordered this in a gender neutral color so both of us could use it and he actually really liked it. Says it’s more comfy and durable than he thought. He also likes how long it is since he’s a pretty tall guy 6’2. The carrying strap is very nice to have too.

I was looking for a yoga mat that I can wash and not ruin and found this. Mild soap and rinse. Just what I need. The color is really pretty. The mat isn’t too thick though, but just comfortable enough to use. I stand up the rolled mat in order to put the elastic carrying strap on, otherwise it’s hard to put on. Overall a really pretty and functional yoga mat.

I really like my yoga mat. It is soft to sit on and doesn't slide when I put my sweaty hands on it when in a pose. It’s more spongy than the Walmart mat I originally purchased & subsequently returned because this one is simply so much better. The Walmart mat allowed my sweaty hands to slide during a pose so I’m much more satisfied with this mat. Highly recommend.

I have used it just for 3 days now (for yoga only) but noticed a few things. It is comfortable and lightweight so really easy to transport if you need to. In terms of grip, I notice my hands slide a little bit while on downward facing dog, but nothing massive. I'm using my on the carpet but notice after the first day it already has marks, other from my trousers or whatever was on the floor. I think it's a good value for money option but will review further after more use.

It’s a good product for sure, however it arrives wrapped in soft plastic partly negating the reason for buying something that will break down in the future and being more eco friendly. I’m sure it’s because to keep it sterile but I’m sure if you put it in a bag of some sort and no plastic people would even pay a little more to avoid the plastic. Just seems counter intuitive but that’s society for you, eco friendly is just another niche for people to make money from with the screwy morales.

This should last me for years. Really happy with this purchase. Perfect size so I'm not hanging off the edge and I like that its ethically madeDefinately recommend.

This is my first owned yoga mat and I spent a long time on the internet researching different mats and brands and decided to give this one a go, as it ticked all of my boxes: the mat length (I am 5'10 so needed a longer mat), the thickness, it has got the alignment lines, it is made from environmentally friendly materials and it is affordable (in comparison to a lot of popular yoga equipment brands out there).I absolutely LOVE this mat! I was not sure about the colour initially, but decided to go for this one because of the alignment lines, and I am very pleased with this lovely natural shade of blue. The quality seems amazing, there is not a single scratch or mark on the mat and it did not have any smell whatsoever when I unwrapped it.The mat seems to be stable and did not move at all when I tried out several yoga poses. However, I am still at a beginner level and haven't tried handstands or anything like that on it yet.I have done a bit of hot yoga in the past, and once this quarantine is lifted and studios reopen I will definitely test this mat out in a hot yoga studio and will be able to update my review.I am so excited to finally start practicing yoga at home on a proper yoga mat!

Used this mat this evening at Pilates and my friend was jealous.The description tells you it doesn't slip and it doesn't, while my friend had a cheap thin mat that moved with the slightest nudge.Definitely recommend for anyone that does Pilates as you don't want to be able to feel the floor through your mat and the carry strap is handy too.
