Finding the right products for left handed people is sometimes difficult, and this lap desk is nice in that it doesn't discriminate. There is a built in mouse pad on both sides.I use this for PC computing while sitting on my couch. (My keyboard actually stretches across it and I put my mouse on a board along side me, but I also use this occasionally for my laptop with mouse.)The sloped design, and padding across the bottom, holds my items in place. There is a handy tray on top where I put flash and SD cards, and pens.I have another lap desk for my laptop, that I bought a few years ago on Amazon for $39. As a laptop specific product, that one is nice, (has a fan for under the laptop, but that is only really needed if your laptop has a problem with overheating). But if you're looking for a lap desk for a laptop, this one will do fine, and you can use it for other things as well.There is a cloth handle on top of this lap desk, so it's very easy for anyone, any age, to carry or move. It's lightweight, and not bulky.If you just want a tray for reading, or writing, this is perfect for those things too. This would also be a nice choice for people who are confined to bed, or limited in any way, for medical reasons. This is a good buy and I would recommend it.

what I like about the lap desk is that, for me, it has a mouse pad on both sides of the desk. As a person who is very much ambidextrous, I use my mouse on the left side. I do not understand why 90+% of lap desk makers only focus on the right. There are desks that have nice additional features but are only built for right-handed people as if left-handed folk can not benefit from the feature within the design of those desks. This desk came in a size that accommodates mid to large size laptops and is comfortable to work on while doing homework of working from home. Both my wife and I on certain days are working from home and we don't have separate extra bedrooms for turn into and office. This lapdesk makes it easy for me to work from home while my works on our desk.

Small things to improve the telework experience! Hubby had been working for weeks with the laptop directly on his lap. Hot and not the right angle. This laptop desk provides ventilation for hubby's laptop and extra height for a more comfortable experience. He likes the arm rest. He is a lefty so I picked this product specifically so he could use a mouse left or right. He is able to work from the comfort of his recliner.

the only think i don't like is the arm rest part. it would be better if it was smaller and the ability to move it sideways for left/right hand use. a little uncomfortable at times. other than that, i love it

I’m extremely happy with this lap desk. It’s functional, and beautifully built. The pads feel comfortable. The mouse pad areas have inset leather (or faux leather). It’s the perfect size. My only suggestion for improvement, if I could have a wish, it would be to build in a few storage compartments somewhere, for the mouse, charging cables, and misc common desk items.

Was happy with this purchase. The mousepads were snug in place. My 17” laptop fits perfectly.

I have a 17-inch laptop and this is comfortable on my legs and despite their warning, there is plenty of room for my mouse if I move my laptop to the edge of the desk. I'll be buying a second one for my husband who tested it with his 18-inch Alienware gaming laptop. Only the heat sink at the back of the laptop hung over by a half-inch.

I was forced to my bed for 10 days, but life doesn't stop--so I needed a way to comfortably use my laptop. This "desk" is sturdy enough to withstand a little banging around, but light enough to handle easily. Tray at the top holds my pens. Attractive finish. Design is wide enough to allow mouse use on either side of the computer. Recovered now, I will use this on the couch when I don't want to sit at the desk. Very happy with the choice.

This desk is very similar to one I got for my husband and it was $10 cheaper. I like the style, colour and the materials seem decent quality. Only down side is the ergonomics. If you have issues with your shoulder or wrist it might cause pain because the leg rest in the front is too thick and it raises the desk above a comfortable position for your arm so you have to lift it to reach the mouse. Over time, it seems the leg rest is shaping to my legs and it’s becoming lower. It is far less uncomfortable after a week of use. The pro to the design is it’s not tilted downward like a lot of the desks so you don’t have to bend your wrist back to use the mouse. One problem for another...Overall, it’s a great purchase and it’s been awesome for working from home while we look after our new puppy in a comfortable space rather than be tucked away in an office.

I ruminated for 6 months over various lap desks before I purchased this one. I am very satisfied with my purchase. I got it in the simulated walnut finish which I just love. There's plenty of room for my 15.6" laptop and wireless mouse. A 17" would also fit with the mouse but it would be tight. There is nothing about it I don't like or find non-functional.

I'm a freelancer and spend a few hours a week doing my work in the car while my kids are at basketball practice. I realized that even those few hours were really uncomfortable and I needed something to effectively prop up my laptop to avoid wrist pain and also eyestrain from looking down all the time.I researched a few products in this category, and the most important factors for me were (1) amount of padding and (2) surface size to fit my 16" MacBook Pro.I am so happy with this product. As you can see from the pics, it's the perfect size for my laptop. Also, the finish is very smooth, the handle makes it portable, and the mousepad area isn't raised, so you still get flush contact between the surface and your laptop. The wrist pad is really nice and does a great job keeping the laptop from sliding down. All in all, I'm very happy I purchased this product! Shipping was fast too, and the item was packaged with care. :)

After I developed rotator cuff issues I had to change my working arrangement - I've worked from home for many years. I researched and found this one and after reading the many good reviews ordered it. I've been using for several weeks now and am surprised at the ease of working on my laptop now. As doctor ordered my arms are at 90 degree angle, my wrists supported, my shoulders not hunched from too high desk. I was pleased that despite its weight and sturdiness it does not feel heavy on my thighs, nor does it get hot. The design of the pads on bottom allow air flow. Easy to use my mouse, too with the built in mouse pad. Super pleased.

I love that the holders for the stuffing have zippers and I can clean the holders and adjust the stuffing.My mouse pads were glued on upon receipt. I know a few people had a problem with that. My laptop is also big so I don’t really use the mouse pads.Love the wrist support but do agree that I could be removable for cleaning.Overall, I’m very pleased with this. I don’t have a home office, and I’m now working from home at my kitchen counter. This is my desk in a sense propped in the counter. My laptop is now at eye level so the strain on my shoulders is gone.Thanks!
