Improved new lower control arm
Dorman parts are usually very good quality and this lower control arm is no exception. My sons 02 Lesabre developed a loud clunk from the front end which was very noticeable. The front control arm bushing had worn out and was letting the control arm have too much movement and metal hit metal. This control arm features an improved, reinforced bushing that should eliminate this issue in the future. It fit perfectly and so far has worked very well. Recommended upgrade to original factory control arm.

Perfect replacement for 04 Lesabre with bad bushing - but lasted only 4 years/33K miles.
My 2004 Buick LeSabre developed a strange vibration from the front passenger side, and a curious "lurching" feeling when taking off from a dead stop. Further analysis showed that the forward bushing in the right control arm had failed - after 10 years and 110,000 miles. These bushings are unlike other similar bushings in other cars in that they are permanently installed within the arm, and cannot be extracted/replaced. This means a full control arm replacement is necessary - and this Dorman control arm was a perfect fit. With the help of a more experienced mechanical friend, this arm was replaced in about ninety minutes with no difficulty. I would not hesitate to recommend this replacement part to any owner of a Lesabre or similar-chassis vehicle in need of such a repair.EDIT: After 4 years and 33K additional miles, the bushings and ball joint on this unit have failed and will have to be replaced. I have read of concerns about the long-term quality of this part, although others have had success. I will be looking at purchasing the Moog equivalent. Reducing the review to three stars from five. I expected this to last longer - my car is a daily driver, usually spends its time on highways, and has not been treated or driven roughly.

Half price and free shipping to boot
Price is half that of local auto part discount stores and it is made by the same manufacturer, Dorman. I have installed this part in both of my cars and have experienced no problems. Even my repairman was amazed by the price.October 2014:Had to order another one of these for my Buick Lesabre. The quality is not the same as the parts supplied previously. The left one had a grease fitting for the ball joint, the right one did not. That wasn't the worst of it however. After installing the part my mechanic was unable to align the car. The camber angle could not be brought into the specified range. I wound up ordering a Moog built assembly from another source. It cost more, $102 vs. $62, but the mechanic was able to align the car. To add insult to injury I had to pay the mechanic for an additional 1.5 hours of labor ($160). Ouch. I can't recommend this part. Spend the addition money and buy the Moog brand control arms. At least you know what you're getting. If I had bought the Moog Parts from the beginning I would have saved $80.

1998 buick riveria, installing this made a world of difference
with 200,000 miles on the clock, i installed this in my riviera to tighten up the steering. Apparently the power of the supercharger combined with regular full throttle usage had worn the plastic wear bushings in my old control arms, which allowed the front end to move quite a bit..All better, and quite a bit more economically than buying from any other source!

Cheap
I bought the other side, and unlike this one it was brand new with a good quality ball joint with a greasing gromit. This one however was a remanufactured piece of crap. You could tell by the way it had been ground on, and the way it still had dirt, and grease on it. Yah didn't even bother to clean the darn thing. All of this wouldn't bother me that bad if it weren't for the fact this one was sent with a cheap ball joint without the greasing gromit, so since you can't grease the stupid thing it makes it disposable and not very durable. The funny thing is both were bought from this same company??? When I tried to contact them to see WTF their email said it wasn't compatable with my pc. So if you like playing russian roulette go ahead and buy one maybe you'll be lucky and get two new ones. GOOD LUCK.Update: After installing this piece of crap I come to realize the ball joint wasn't even greased. So I'll have to drill a hole and tap it out for a greasing gramit that should have been done at the factory. Should have just sent the darn thing back, but I needed to get my car fixed.
