Love this tanning lotion... very natural color and easy to apply
OBSESSED with this tanning lotion! My first time using this brand. I prefer this lotion over other popular brands I have used. I have a fair complexion, and the color looks very natural on me. It is not sticky, does not make me smell like a pina colada, and does not streak AT ALL!!! It even looked natural on my feet, where with other brands my feet came out looking like I had a skin disorder. The tan lasted about a week and faded gradually without me noticing. It was never splotchy. My favorite part is this lotion did not come off onto my sheets. Other brands have stained my sheets orange or a dingy brown in areas. Will continue to use this brand.

Impressed with this product.
This product is light, not sticky and dries quickly. The color is rich but subtle. It creates a beautiful tan color that is not orange-y. It has a very light scent that doesn’t linger. This is a great find to tan winter skin and prepare for the summer sun.

Really good
One of the better self tanners. Not orange at all, very natural and doesn't streak.

Bad reviews are USER ERROR
OK, first off, any blotchiness, flaking or overall poor application is user error. You need to exfoliate, shave and mosturize well the morning you plan on tanning. Wait at least 3 hours to ensure your moisturizer has fully absorbed. Work in long circular motions until it's essentially rubbed in. Let your body air dry for at least 10 minutes before putting your clothes back on.Moisturize well every day after you tan. This will keep your tan looking fresh and it won't fade patchy at all.I promise this works for a flawless tan! Now, I've used at least a dozen different self tanners and this is HANDS DOWN the best. The color is natural (I just wish it was a tad bit darker) and beautiful. It wears off perfectly. No patchiness or flaking. The smell is actually kind of nice, too. It does still have that fake tan smell, but it's quite faint and not all like the rest Ive used. Ive finally found my favorite tanner.

New fav self tanner
Darker than other self tanning foams. It did not streak on me and left a good dark color. I use a tanning kit to apply. Smells like every other self tanning foams/mousse I’ve ever used. Not a bad smell, but not the best. Due to the dark color and no streaking-it is my new favorite self tanner.

Needs layers but works nicely
I’m super pale and I find that the Dark mousse needs about 4 back to back applications to be the darkest it can be. Basically 2x daily applications to get the darkest shade fast. I apply the 1st application the night before and make sure to get my hands. The only part of my body during this application that will actually develop a tan are hands, kind of just working to “prime” my body for the next applications and not develop much at all. In the morning I’ll shower as usual then afterward do the 2nd application SKIPPING my hands. I’ll apply extra to coats to the areas that fade the quickest/take the longest to develop then use baby powder to set it. On the evening of the second day, when I take my third shower, I’ll exfoliate my hands to even them out and use a very soapy sponge to lightly exfoliate my entire body - this step is crucial - I make sure to focus on any darkness that may have accumulated on my knees/elbows or any areas looking patchy. After the shower I do my third application and make sure to do my hands again and again, apply extra coats to any areas that take forever to develop. I will apply extra to any part of my face that hasn’t developed well OR to the places I want to tantour. On the morning of the third day my tan will be pretty much at the shade I want, but I’ll double after my shower and apply a 4th layer, skipping the hands. I know it’s a lot, but it’s worth it because Tanologist is hands down the most FOOOOLPROOF self Tanner I’ve ever used. Like, I’ve never used anything that fades as well as this does. The fact this is needs to be built up is a Pro rather than a con because there’s literally no way that you can accidentally mess this up (unless you don’t blend it well or don’t blend it into dry skin). If you use moisturizer prior to this product, it will develop much slower. If you sweat while you are wearing this, it will not develop at all. Skin needs to be kept completely dry. I really recommend using baby powder/body powder to dry the skin and tone down the scent of it. This doesn’t dry my skin out or make me itch like Btan does, also, this has never caused me any skin issues or acne. This is wonderful on the face. Word of warning, once the tan is built up, if you don’t moisturize your skin the tan will start breaking down, impart a “dried up cracked riverbed” look and appear as if it’s flaking off. Using a good moisturizer will extend the tan’s longetivty for a week or longer, but I find that I need to apply it to my face every 2-3 days because I double cleanse and use a sponge to exfoliate my face daily. No complaints, highly recommend it! One bottle gets a minimum of 4 maximum of 5 treatments, and more = more.

Decent color, not super orange like others. I'm Hispanic so have a gentle tan after winter and you're even slightly tanned naturally, like me, this will look much better. If you have pale skin it might look more orange-y.It does rub off if you wear clothing even after an hour of pacing and waiting for it to dry! I put it on at 6pm and then pranced around in the nude until 7:20pm I then threw on my pajamas (light loose T-shirt and shorts). The next day the shorts had rubbed a stripe onto my thigh, could it have been applied incorrectly? Perhaps! I'll try the PJ test again for the 3rd application.Don't let Apple cider vinegar anywhere near your skin unless you want zebra stripes or streaks, the ACV washes it away immediately, good to know if you over apply or forget to wash your hands or something. (I spilled acv in the kitchen, whoopsies)Smell is still a bit funky, it smells good going on but when your natural body scent mixes with it, it can be strange, I had two friends try it to make sure it wasn't just me, they experienced the same strong smell, it's not bad, I could smell it more on myself than I could on them. And they said the same about me. It has a slightly powdery scent to it almost and when mixed with our natural body smells it is just kind of chemical-y.I don't hate it, but I don't love it. I probably won't purchase this again though.
