Like a tank for a phone!
It's like a tank for a phone. Both a gas tank and an armored tank.Pros:1. Battery life is phenomenal. It's roughly double the 3,000mah stock battery.2. Protects the phone. The case has a 3/16" bevel that sticks out above the front glass of the phone. This provides better front glass protection than most cases.3. Rubbery non-slip surface. This makes it easy to grip in your hand without slippage.5. Very easy install one minute install.6. Solid back makes it suitable if you want to add a belt tab. I buy round belt clip tabs and glue it on the battery, drill a hole in the case and then stretch the tab through the drilled hole then clip the phone to my belt clip. It works great. To do this buy the tab and belt clip. Use 3M mounting tape #03609 (this is far stronger than the tape you get with the belt tab), drill a 3/8 hole in the case EXACTLY centered on where the tab will be. The hole is smaller than the tab so you must stretch the case hole over the tab. The case back will hold the tab in place because even the super strong mounting tape won't hold the tab long without a strong case back holding the tab also (believe me I've tried). With this case the tab has never come loose and you don't have to fear your phone popping off the belt clip and being lost or damaged.7. Case buttons work well with phone buttons. Pressing the buttons of the case is a solid feel and works easily with the phone buttons underneath.Cons:1. It's big and heavy. No, I mean really, this thing is big and heavy. It literally makes the phone feel 3X heavier. It's big. It's like an Otterbox case with lead inside. If you put your phone inside of your suit jacket and wish an unnoticeable bulge where you phone is, run, don't walk away from this battery. It doubles the thickness of your phone and increases the likelihood of your jacket or pants pocket bulging from the shear size of this phone. I've gotten used to the size and weight and actually like them both now. My hands are big and I'm strong so it works for me. If you have trouble opening doors, this phone is not for you.2. It takes double the time to charge. That figures if it's double the capacity but usually it's left on the charger overnight anyway.3. The battery level is no longer accurate. Maybe it's just my battery learning but it will drop to 95% in a few minutes yet take hours to move from 4% to 0. The battery meter is not smoothly linear. UPDATE: After the battery is conditioned a couple of weeks, the battery gauge us now accurate. To be honest, the battery meter doesn't matter. If you charge your phone at night, unless you play movies all day, your battery simply will never run to zero so a battery meter is almost unnecessary with this battery. On my heaviest use days I've always had 50%+ of battery left at the end of the day. With the stock battery it would go to zero on some days.4. Your phone is no longer waterproof. Because this replaces the sealed back plate the phone is no longer waterproof. The front of the phone is still rather tightly sealed. It may remove the immersability of the phone but I think it will hold up well in the rain. Just don't go swimming with it.

Great product and service
First off, the battery is great. Right now I'm at 4%, with total uptime of 50 hours, 15 of which were screen on. I do not use any power saving features or turn down the brightness from auto. The first case it came with was very loose - when I pressed the power button of volume buttons I could feel the phone slide a bit inside the case. I emailed Bastex, which was the retailer Amazon filled my order from, and they immediately sent me a new one, which fits a lot more snug.I do not consider the size or weight a con, so far after about 2 weeks of use I am enjoying the chunky feel of the phone.Cons:NOT WATERPROOF - In my opinion the biggest danger with this is NOT submerging your phone accidentally, it's small splashes or being exposed to rain for extended periods of time. The case keeps the phone enclosed as good as pretty much any other case, but the hole for the charging port leaves a little bit too much open space for my liking. Unfortunately I can't find a picture to illustrate this, but I'll do my best to explain - basically the hole for the charging port has open space on the bottom, so you can actually see the battery if you look down at an angle through it. I think this is where the biggest danger from liquids is - if you knock over a glass of water in front of your phone, it will splash right in there, and you will not have time to get the battery out before capillary action pulls the water across the power pins and other vulnerable parts.Additionally, you will have a bit of a hard time getting the charging cover open if you have short fingernails like me.However, you can safely set the phone down on a wet surface, as the case is all one piece and has no holes below about 5 mm above the ground. So, you CAN place the phone on something wet as long as the water isn't more than a few mm deep. This case will cover up your speaker, but I find that it actually improves the speaker's sound. Instead of going out the back, the case channels it out in the same direction as the charging port faces, so you can set the phone down without covering up the speaker holes. This used to be a problem for me because if I put my phone on a fabric surface it would completely mute the speaker.A note on charging it, though - Zerolemon recommends you FULLY DEPLETE the battery to 2% or less at least 6 times before you start "topping it off" or charging it when it's not completely empty. Grab a piece of paper and keep a count, because the battery lasts for at least 2 days, so you will forget how many times you've charged it if you don't!Also, you will need to charge it for 24 hours straight when you first get it. When I put mine in, I didn't even turn the phone back on before I plugged it in, so the battery had as little drain as possible before getting charged. Don't be like those YouTube idiots that throw away the instructions and start using the battery right away in their "unboxing" videos.

Major signal loss for me (on Rogers).
The battery quality and life is a 5/5. The case is probably a 4/5. The plastic is a beat cheap and deforms easily. However - the battery covers your antenna the S5, and reduces signal quite significantly - especially I found if you're on Rogers / AT&T.I ended up buying a cellphone booster to the tune of $1200. That made an improvement, but not as much as it should. I was seriously considering replacing the phone when I found a site that commented that this battery covers the antenna and reduced signal.Back to the stock battery and case and I'm back to having a reasonable signal again. So this is something to consider that I don't think is noted in the documents or specs.

Great battery
Amazing battery. I have it for 2 years now. I bought it in jul 28 2015. Still going strong but takes longer to charger and discharges quicker than before.
