Just what we needed
I wanted to buy something in advance, so that I would have a working cell phone before my plane even got to the gate. I also wanted to avoid dealing with someone in-country, as I don't speak the language and figured my chances of getting screwed would go way up. I hate buying stuff like this. You have to spend so much time looking at everything, hoping that you don't end up getting screwed. I really looked at a lot of options and finally decided to take a chance on this. I'm glad I did. I ordered the two-pack, advertised with 8GB of data for each line, for just shy of $60. The product came quickly, packaged well and everything appeared to be in order. I tucked it away in my travel bag and hoped for the best.Technical note: Our phones are an iPhoneXR and iPhone XS Max, both purchased directly from Apple for use with Verizon. Our Verizon accounts are on each phone's "eSIM", so our SIM card slots are empty. Turning off our US plan requires adjusting a phone setting, which is very easy to do.When our plane from the U.S. was within about an hour of landing in Barcelona (Spain), I popped the SIM cards into our phones and turned off the cellular plans for our Verizon SIMs. I wanted to make very sure that I didn't get hit with Verizon's high fees for international use! Anyway, just before the plane touched down, our phones activated on the local network and we started getting messages from Orange. Here is what they said:Welcome to Orange ! Your line number is +33123456789. Don't forget to send your ID information by returning the coupon inserted in your product package. Your number is now activated. Benefit from 30 minutes and 200 texts from Europe to all countries and 8GB internet in Europe to use until 12/XX/19.Once we got these messages, I went into settings and configured iMessage to use our Orange phone numbers. This let is communicate via iMessage, which uses data and not text messages. It was all very easy to do and before we even got to Customs, we both had fully working phones and were totally good to go.We were in Europe for 9 days. We drove from Barcelona to Palamos and spent 2 days. Then we were to Girona, Figueres and on to Andorra. While in Andorra, we also dipped into France for just a few miles. We spent 2 nights there before driving to Montserrat and back to Barcelona for our final two nights. We had good signal everywhere we went and generally reasonable data speeds everywhere too. It was slow at times, but I don't think that had anything to do with the SIM cards themselves. VoLtE was not active though, it says to contact Orange to activate that but I never bothered.I use my phone for navigation and had it running Google Maps for all of the driving. My wife used hers for some of that, but mostly she was doing other things. We of coursed used a lot of web and email and whatever else. While we were waiting for the plane to take off to leave Barcelona, I captured our use on the SIMs. I used just under 4GB of data and my wife used 3GB. Neither of us used any of the SMS messages and each of us used maybe 3-4 minutes of phone calls. We each left the county with half of our data (or more), all of our SMS messages and about 27/30 voice minutes remaining. This product did exactly what I wanted and I have no complaints.

Worked well enough in London & Dublin, but much better deals if you buy overseas
I purchased two of these for my husband and I to use for the two weeks we would be in the UK. I have an unlocked Verizon Iphone 7 plus and my husband has an unlocked Verizon Samsung Galaxy. We installed the cards when we landed in London Heathrow and our phones worked as soon as we restarted them. The hardest part of installation was wandering around the Heathrow airport in search of a paperclip to pop our original SIM cards out. Our packaging said nothing about the extra 5 GB of data but we both received a text message within about two minutes telling us the extra 5 GB was added to our accounts, as well as another text telling us what our new phone number was. After the first day we started receiving texts saying that if we did not register our SIMs, our account would be suspended. That freaked us out at first but according to the manual you only need to mail a registration card in if you will be using your SIM card more than 30 days.As far as service/reception goes, it was not bad, per se, but it definitely was not as good as we are used to getting back in the States. In London, Oxford, and Windsor, I'd rate the service a 4/5, but the farther away we got, it definitely got worse. It was spotty for most of our visit in Dublin, and non existent between Dublin and the Cliffs of Moher.I gave this 3 stars for a few main reasons. Did it work? Yes, it worked, for the most part. If we had stayed solely in London and not needed maps, this would have been no problem. However, we were mainly using it for GPS reasons in the English countryside, so it would sporadically lose connection and we would be more or less stranded. The other main reason I give this 3 stars is because there are much better SIM card options available for purchase oversees. The second we stepped off the plane in Heathrow, there were vending machines and gift shops full of traveler SIM cards on every corner. Instead of spending $55 on 8 GB of data, we could have gotten 13 GB for £25, and that was just one of a hundred different options we saw just in our terminal. All in all, they did the job for what needed them for, but our next trip abroad we will most likely be going a different route.

A LOT of hassle - in French
I bought this in advance of my upcoming visit to Europe. Had mostly heard positive things about Orange - but compared to the OneCard SIM - this is a complete hassle to set up.Apparently it would work better for me to set it up while I'm IN Europe - but I want to hit the ground running when I get there, not spend a bunch of time at the airport fiddling with settings and uploading a bunch of ID documents. Sigh.Perhaps I should have spent more time reading the reviews...Had high hopes for this product. As of now I'm very frustrated and dissappointed. AND I haven't even used the service yet!Eeesh...

Worked great in Italy and UK, register before use
Worked great in Italy and UK on 8 day trip. Probably saved me about $50 total. Only issue was I kept getting texts saying I had to register my card or service would be shut off. I couldn’t figure out how to do so, but the service still worked for 8 days anyway so it didn’t matter. Make sure you figure out how to register if you have a longer trip.I used my phone a lot (for maps while navigating, social media during transit, and even FaceTime from a few spots). I would say I used more data than the average user, and over 8 days I had only used about 3GB out of 8GB total. So no worries about data amount (unless you try to stream videos or something, in which case you’d probably still be fine on a shorter trip). I didn’t even use hotel WiFi because it was slower than the data. Highly recommended.
