60 Mile Omni Circular - great little antenna....should have done this long ago.
Compact, unobtrusive, easy to install and it works. No more huge "spider beast" antenna.I purchased the 60 mile Omni Circular antenna and put it on the east corner of the top of my chimney, about 30 feet up, and it pulls in almost 100 stations. Most don't interest me, but the ones that do come from nearly 50 miles away and are clear and pixelation free. I also use the amplifier that came with the antenna.According to DTV reception maps on the FCC website, the stations come from the north (~50mi), east(~35mi) and south(~20mi) and the omni-directional lets me change channels without messing with the antenna. There are hills and trees but no mountains between the stations and my home, and I'm in a suburban setting. So far the weather has been good so I can't speak to foul weather performance, but it has been excellent for the stations I watch (mostly the major networks and everything included with a basic cable subscription).Combining this with the Mediasonic HDTV converter box and a USB hard drive is a total OTA PVR/media player system and makes a basic cable subscription redundant and unnecessary (and I can zip thru the commercials on playback)Since the antenna is very compact and weatherproof; I just purchased another one to put on a camper conversion as an experiment to see if it can provide reception when I'm in the boonies. We'll see....Feb 2016 Update: the antenna on the townhouse has been working just fine, no degradation during rainstorms (what little we have) and no other issues.I installed one of these on my camper conversion and it is also working great. Mounted it on a pivoting mast that puts it down on the roof when driving, but can raise it 40 inches when settled into a campsite. Reception is good when the antenna is in the down position (4" above the roof) but even better when the mast is up and the antenna is 12 feet high. With the Omni-directional antenna I just pivot the mast up and don't worry about where to point it or what channel I'm watching. It's not satellite, so there are places with no reception, but no monthly fee either and it doesn't eat battery power.

work great with patience and fine adjustments
I've had this antenna for a year now and am very pleased with the product for many reasons. I had issues with signal drop outs but after making additional adjustments and hooking a new tv up to it, I now can receive over 50 clear digital stations from three towers.Key features...1), Size of antenna: I cut the cord on cable over three yearsago and had been using another antenna prior to this one that rotated but lost that one off of my roof during a severe storm. This antenna is much smaller and is hardly noticeable from the road.2). Easy to install: All that was required to install and set this up was to attach it to a mast on my roof. I have a two story house with a mast that is approximately 25' tall, just above roof level with a clear view to the horizon in all directions. The bracket easily attaches to a mast and because this is a multi directional antenna, I don't have to rotate it to get all of the channels in my region. I did need to make some directional adjustments initially but once I had it dialed in to the best position, it has worked great!3). Many clear, HD channels pulled in: As mentioned above, I had previously used another antenna that rotated but a huge weather storm broke it at the base where it rotates. I really liked my previous unit (Amplified HD Digital Outdoor HDTV Antenna with Motorized 360 Degree Rotation, UHF/VHF/FM Radio with Infrared Remote Control) but it wasn't as well made but pulled in a lot of channels. I was surprised to find that the 1byone antenna pulled in even MORE channels than my previous antenna! I live in northern illinois, 40 miles from Chicago and 50 miles from Milwaukee, WI. I am pulling in over 45 channels in clear HD from all directions! No issues during severe weather...we had severe thunderstorms and 50+ mph hr. winds the other night and had NO LOSS IN SIGNAL during the entire event!I am extremely pleased with my purchase! If you have been thinking of cutting the cable cord like me, this is a great choice, especially if you live reasonably close (40 miles) to a major metro tv broadcast tower.MAJOR TIP: one more detail...its VERY important that you have a fairly clear view to the TV tower...I originally set this up in my attic to see if it would work but lost a lot of range (their website states this clearly). Also, a metal roof or a large building blocking your view can greatly reduce the signal. Visit their website prior to making the purchase...lots of good info on there! Also, visit [...] and enter your address or zip code for details about the towers near you.

Great HD Antenna
I live in San Diego and do to the hills in the area many homes are unable to use these antennas, but I was able to get every local HD channel in the area perfectly. I first tested the antenna with the supplied RG6 cable with the antenna sitting on a table on my patio connected directly to my TV and we picked up every channel perfectly except the CW. The CW came in but was choppy. I did this to ensure the antenna worked before going up my roof and mounting it. Once the antenna was mounted on the roof every channel came in crystal clear. Just needed the extra height to receive the CW clearly. A few key things that allowed for the great quality of reception was that I used the amplifier that came with the antenna, I used a RG6 cable, and I mounted the antenna as high as I could. I would recommend this antenna that wants a low cost yet effective and easy to install antenna.
