This is the stuff we grew up on, the flavor is just better
When soda started switching to corn syrup to help out American farmers, I thought that was kinda cool. When they did it because it was cheaper than sugar, it made sense. But it never tasted the same.I quit drinking soda in the middle 80's because it was giving me a headache. I thought it was too much caffeine, turns out it was all the high fructose corn syrup. While I'm sure this stuff isn't exactly how it was made in the 70's, my taste buds tell me it's just as good.Like most name brand soda, I do not buy this often, but every once in a while it'll be on sale with prime pantry and I stock up.If you're not as old as I am and can't remember soda before corn syrup, then this probably means nothing to you. Just trust me, it's so much better. :)

Best Mountain Dew on the Market!
I love this stuff. How much?? It's the only reason I created an Amazon account. Started to notice that it was disappearing in the local stores. Found it on Amazon and signed up. This is the best tasting soda with real sugar out there. Bought 6 twelve packs today. Please Amazon use your might powers to get Pepsi Co to keep making this product. It will be a best seller for the foreseeable future. My only wish/request is if could be brought back in the glass bottles.

Ever hear of Throwback Mt Dew?
I purchase refreshments for our busy Production Office. Couple of the guys requested Mt. Dew. So, I stocked Mt Dew along with other beverage preferences. Little did I know that their real preference was for the brand, "Throwback Mt. Dew!" Who knew, right? It was explained that the taste is really good and the ingredients are slightly different and more similar to what was produced it "back in the day." At first, I couldn't find it in stock anywhere! So I checked out Amazon and not only is it stocked, I actually purchase it at a discounted rate as part of the "Save and Subscribe" feature. Guess you can learn something new every day, eh? Check it out and test the quality for yourself...

The beverage that built the internet and made gaming mainstream!
I love this stuff! I was overseas for a lot of the transition from sugar to corn syrup, and never quite got used to the new stuff. We had the original glass bottles with this and similar designs in the garage of the dairy farm I grew up on, and it always makes me smile to see! (There was a previous version of Throwback that skipped the orange juice, but we won't talk about that, because this is the true formula!)The last time I came here to order, it said they were out of stock and didn't know when they were going to get more! I was shocked! Crushed! I settled on regular "Mtn Dew" (even the bottlers are ashamed to call the stuff Mountain Dew,) and ginger ale, knowing my much extended dream of the 90's was finally over. Please, please, Mr. Bezos, have mercy on an old farm boy, keep this stuff in stock! And you out there, reading this review, buy it! Keep the sales numbers up! It might be the only thing keeping your poor Gen X parents from taking up drugs!

Can you remember what Mountain Dew tasted like ORIGINALLY? this throwback might help.
I loved these throwbacks to yesteryear. The Mountain Dew throwback tasted like it had just the right amount of sugar, at least for my taste buds. For some reason, each time I had one, my imagination tried to taste the sugar with one part of my tongue, and the Dew with the other part. I've never tried to do that with regular Mountain Dew.I still prefer regular Mountain Dew, both for the taste and for the cost. I had to try it, but I thought it was too expensive. I will not be ordering it again in spite of how I enjoyed it. I took one star off due to the cost. I hope it comes down.If you drank Mountain Dew when it first came out, then you should definitely try a twelve pack this "throwback" then afterward, decide for yourself whether you'll be ordering it again.Even if you don't remember the past, you might want to try one pack of cans, just to try something that tastes totally different from what we are used to.John

Thay need to put regular cane or beet sugar BACK into food.
It keeps my husband from drinking high fructose corn-syurp in almost 99% of the industry's beverages. *** DISCLAIMER : you asked for my opinion you get the harangue.*** It is not widely known that Cane-Sugar and Sugar-Beets are grown in Tropical Climates, much like our Deep-South Gulf Shores, Hawai'i, Baja California, Atlantic Coastal Georgia, and Florida Gulf and Atlantic Coastal Florida. With that said, US tensions that arose in the mid 70's with Central America and their political instability coupled with the surge of the lack of - let's just face it USDA not wanting to pay the day-laborer and farmers (who feed us everyday) the wages that they are worth. Sugar is granulated, High fructose corn-syrup is not. The application of the latter is lazier and therefore quicker and easier to do causing a massive obesity spike in America. Wake up people - your Government and the dollars that back them did this fat thing to us all.

No corn syrup, even better taste, and great price!
Yes! Yes! Yes!So glad I can enjoy without the corn syrup!! Tastes great, and with Amazon, no more stopping in three or four places that never consistently carry it. Keep it stocked in the pantry for that occasional craving or when company comes, I got something better tasting & better for them than what they normally pick up at the gas station, still exactly what they want!

maybe its just me
I don't know if I got a bad batch or what but I read these were suppose to taste similar to regular mountain dew so I picked it up since it was cheaper but theres this strong taste that hangs in my mouth that I just cant stand. it reminds me diet pops.all cans came intact and the dates are 5 months out so im assuming its just something to do with the lack of an ingredient that im use to
