Very Pleased
I bought this one after buying a smaller air fryer. Although I was impressed with the small fryer's performance, it was small and didn't have digital controls (gave it to our daughter and her girls love it) and wanted this larger Elite fryer based on Consumer Reports rating. As others have written, it's a big counter appliance. Probably not suitable for an apartment, but with a good amount of counter space in my kitchen I can put it in an easily accessible place out of the way. I've fried breaded mozzarella sticks (of course), frozen breaded chicken breasts, hot dogs, frozen fries/onion rings and even soggy two day old fries from Burger King and they all came out nice and crispy. I am experimenting with temps and times, but haven't burned anything yet. Seems 350-390 F works well and, depending on the product, usually check after 5 minutes increasing time if necessary. The frozen breaded chicken breasts package recommended 15-18 minutes at 400 F. I fried them at 390 F for 13 minutes and they were perfectly done and, one of the best things about air fryers, without heating up the conventional oven. Controls are easy to learn and give you settings in single increments, e.g., 1 degree or minute, rather than five degrees or minutes with the smaller fryer. The fryer basket sits in a removable basket and both are easy to clean. The mozz sticks oozed a little on to the baskets and after it cooled to the touch just simply wiped it clean with a damp paper towel.

VERY LARGE & EASY TO USE!
This is our second air fryer and we love it! The first one, a Holsem, only lasted a week or less (three uses) and the heat quit. I returned it to Amazon and bought this one. So far, we like the Elite much better than the other brand. This one is far easier to pick up the basket as it just lifts out! That's it. No locks, no little plastic slide thingys to break, you just literally open the top and lift the basket up. It's also larger and the pan that sits underneath the basket is easier to lift out and clean. I was afraid that, since the lid lifts up to look at your food or lift the basket out, it would be "tippy" but it isn't at all! There are little suction cups on the bottom of the air fryer that stick to the counter just from the weight of the fryer itself. They work great and, frankly, I doubt the lid would make the thing tip even if the suction cups weren't there. It seems very sturdy and it took me very little time to get used to lifting the lid and then pulling the catch up to close it. I've had zero trouble with it and highly recommend it. It's also super easy to clean. I just wipe it out for fries and onion rings because nothing sticks. This fryer is also easier to see the digital readout than the Holsem was. I'm 5'6" and I had to get really close and almost stand on my tiptoes to read the Holsem as our counters are a tad higher than some. This Elite has the digital readout on the top front which is a lot better. We love it!!

Still testing it out.
Received a few days ago. Made mac & Cheese, burgers, pork chops, and chicken wings. Burgers and wings came out great. Chops came out moist inside and tender the outer appearance wasnt to my liking but tasted good. Burgers drippings stuck to both the basket and pan even after putting them in the dishwasher, I ended up having to hand wash them to remove the stuck on stuff. I have since purchased some parchment pan liners for air fryers with holes in them to vent for heat and prevent sticking. When I made the wings I didnt have the liners yet so I lined the basket with parchment paper that I had cut out and made holes in. The wings did very well and clean up was a breeze using parchment paper. This fryer seems to be alright for cooking for two people but you will need a much larger one if cooking for an entire family. Still not able to get the menu function to work but it may be that I need to reread the instructions on that portion, putting in your own time and temperature is very easy to do. There is a thin space between the lid and the bottom when closed and I do not know if it is suppose to be totally sealed tight or if this is a manufacturing error. It appears to work just fine so far. My only complaint thus far is the sticking to the non stick basket and pan but the parchment paper liners solve that issue. It does take a lot of counter space and has suction cups on the bottom which for me is a nuisance but I understand why they would have them for more safety. With the burger next time we will cook for less time it was moist and well done on the inside and they did taste good. We were able to do 4 burgers at a time, have since purchased a shelf accessory to add a second layer to put more burgers on at the same time. We fitted 4 boneless pork chops at one time and breaded the chop but next time we will use a different breading process. The chicken we only seasoned and no breading.

I like that this model had a metal basket
Have used this on whole chicken about 2.5 lbs. numerous times, the chicken is dark and crisp to perfection on outside as if it was fried and the inside is moist and tender. This is all in cooking time of about an 1 hr 15 min. Have done 1 inch pork chops with same result. Chicken and Turkey breasts same result. You need no oil. I will sometimes put a little broth at bottom below basket so if I want to baste halfway I can. You have to learn the cooking difference by reading the book that comes with it. This is well worth the price. I like that this model had a metal basket, I read some reviews on other airfryers that stated they loved results but the food had plastic taste and all of those were on airfryers with plastic baskets.

Easy, tasty, and quick food preperation
Love the air fryer - okay if it was oil based it would be better tasting, but for health reasons I went with the Elite Platinum Air fryer and am very happy. Shrimp, wings, sweet potato fries, regular fries, onion rings, and mozzarella sticks are the items that I've made so far. All came out very good and used a teaspoon or two of oil only (for fries at least) to get things crispy.Easy to use, easy to clean, and quick to cook, were the main reasons that this outperforms the oven. By the time my oven is heated to temperature the food is already on the plate when using the air fryer. The basket cleans up so easily that I do not bother with the dishwasher even. I would highly recommend this product to anyone that cooks.
