Great printer!
I was skeptical about this printer being that I am coming from a Solvent printer background. We needed to buy a printer that is capable of doing short to medium term graphic posters for retail and consumer level graphics. This printer has done its job and then some! It prints beautiful color posters on all types of media. We have used canvas, adhesive vinyl and coated gloss paper and this printer handled it all flawlessly. I own a solvent Mimaki printer and this was a perfect addition for those customers looking for quick turnaround prints for a lower price point. The Ink is also a big selling point, its high capacity and inexpensive. I would recommend this printer to anyone looking for a nice startup machine.

Great film printer for price and size.
Great printer. We converted this to all black uv blocking ink to film printing with a 24” roll printer. We used to used a larger 36” format surecolor but that seems to be dead after a long 7 years. Hope this will last just as long but for the price point it prints really nicely out of the box with rip software. Only with the teeth spike rollers at the end weren’t so invasive. When we print negative films I have to double check to sometimes marker over those little dots left behind that pierced through the printed black area.

I got scammed
Printer never worked, straight out the box. I couldn’t even get past the setup, with an error message prompt. Epson says it’s a faulty tech issue and to get back with the company I purchased it from. It is not an American printer (from the serial number) and they cannot honor the warranty or assist me in any way. I can’t return because it’s past the 30 day window, (disbelief- kept trying to troubleshoot around my busy schedule) now I’m out over 2k due to issues beyond my control. It sucks.

No more expensive cartridges!
This is my second Epson tank printer. My first one prints up to 17x11 and both are used for CAD drawings. My 20 year old plotter failed and I needed to replace it soon. I was thrilled to learn that Epson makes a large format tank printer. It was an easy decision. Thanks Epson!

Setup is a nightmare
The media could not be loaded. The build quality is questionable. Some parts are metal such as the roll paper area but most of it is plastic with some rough edges. The lid for the ink tank already has a broken hinge. This could cause potential problems in the future because Epsons have sensors for their ink tank lids. The printer is bulky and heavy. Even if you can lift 60 lbs it's not designed to be lifted by one person, as one of the long edges is a no-grab zone for lifting. If the printer is loaded with ink, then the printer also cannot be tilted. The right side of the printer where the ink tank is feels slightly heavier than the left side.I cannot comment on print speed or print quality as mine was unable to make it past the setup step. After setting the date and time, the printer then told me to close two covers… which were already closed. Apparently setup cannot continue and there’s no bypass function in the event there’s a faulty sensor or two. I powered on and off to see if the error would resolve itself but the errors just alternated between the two. I had bought a bunch of supplies that I cannot return anymore in anticipation for this printer. I may have just received a lemon but the multiple issues suggest more pervasive problems in production in general.EDIT: I have since talked to Epson support (very friendly and helpful) and they declared my unit had a hardware failure and to return it. I see another review in here that also had issues with setup which means my case is not singular. If you buy one make sure to test your unit asap.

My second one!
I’m really impressed. It’s an eco tank so you know it will save you money. It’s so easy to use. You can use your iPhone or iPad to print without any additional software. I print from my iphone gallery and pdf files. Great print quality. I like it so much I bought two of them.

Perfect for what I need
You pay close to $2000 extra to get away from cartridges. Worth it in my opinion. Praying my machine doesn't break any time soon, will most likely be buying the extended warranty.
