Simply put this is an excellent product. A 5 out of 5 as far as I am concerned. That however is not why I chose to leave this review. As great as the product is, the customer service is infinitely better. This is a company that truly cares about a quality product and genuinely cares about their customers. When I received my product and noticed that the aluminum washer was missing, I wrote a message to Thyrm inquiring about said washer and within a couple of hours they respond and assured me that the missing washer would be sent to me immediately and would be at my mailbox by the end of the week. When the letter came in the mail I was very surprised to see not only the missing washer, but a hand written letter from Thyrm and a complementary moral patch enclosed as well.Excellent work Thyrm…I will definitely be back for more of your products in the futureFYI: My switchback is riding on a Surefire G2X Pro with a Surefire red lens adapter, set up specifically for hunting.

Good Product, Need Practice to Get Accustomed to It's Use
This product is very ergonomic, albeit a little difficult, at first, to get used to. I have trained the draw with my Streamlight ProTac, but it didn't require too many practice draws to get it in a perfect location. In the case of my Streamlight, it is somewhat difficult to activate the pressure switch while holding a pistol, but I believe it will become more natural with more practice. Till then, I will continue to focus on using my pistol's attached SureFire X300 Ultra. The other issue I have with it is the overall size added to the rear portion of the flashlight. It has become rather bulky at the top, and as such I have lost a portion of the access to my pocket. The soft edges of the Thyrm do not cause me any discomfort when I reach for my work pocket knife, so it is not a big issue when I carry this flashlight/ring combo. I carry this flashlight in my pocket for an average of 8-hours/day at work, so while it isn't being accessed in my pocket it is quite comfortable, regardless of body position. The only time I have noticed discomfort while using my current combo has been when wearing jeans with higher pockets than pants such as 5.11, ACU/OCP, cargo shorts... the type of pants that the front pockets are cut to come down lower. At those times I feel a pinch in my upper thigh as clothes material and the ring portion of the Thyrm press into my leg. I am still working on finding the perfect location for EDC, but as of right now I keep in my cargo pocket, when wearing shorts, or in my left front pocket when wearing my work clothes (right handed). Hope this helps future purchasers!

Great for dog walking!
I am not one of those guys with “tactical pens” and “tactical underwear” who is dreaming of the day he catches an intruder in his double wide trying to steal the only thing of value he has, which is a $100 flashlight btw. This is a great product for walking the dog in the morning, I can control the leash and flashlight in one hand while picking up dog poop with the other! Very helpful for those times when you were not paying attention and you need to scan for the poop with a flashlight. I am now only buying flashlights that are supported by this device.

Review for Streamlight HL-X
I like the product, and it works, but I just don’t like it for MY particular flashlight. It fits on the HL-X using the included spacer, but this model light had raised ribs around the button on the tail cap. Those ribs need to be cut off or ground down in order for it to work as intended. I didn’t want to be grinding on my $100 light, so I tried using it on some other cheap knockoffs, but it didn’t fit on those (not that it ever claimed to or was supposed to). The only other issue I had when I tried it on my HL-X for a few days was that the clip is in a spot that didn’t make it easily grabbable for me. I have 5.11 tax lite Pro pants for work that have the slanted rear pocket with the strap. If I clipped it in the pocket, the ring wasn’t in a spot to get my finger in easily because it was pushed into my side. To fix this, they would have to make a left hand and right hand model, which wouldn’t be cost effective. Plus, the clip was so tight that It would get caught on the hem of the pocket edge and essentially ripped my pants after about 4 awkward deployments. I liked the idea, the product looks well made and robust (more than the hem of my pants anyway), and I’m sure with a bunch of modifications, I could have made it work as it is advertised on other brand lights. I already have a WML on my tool, so this was just something to try and improve on an edc light that already worked just fine. I guess if I was going to start modifying my light, I would just tack a ring onto the side of the tail cap and essentially have the same thing with the light’s original belt clip. This product would just save you all that hassle.

It’s okay
I’m glad I didn’t spend the full $20, otherwise I would have disappointed for what it is. Didn’t really get the wow factor I was hoping for. The finger hole is large, great if you’re gloves, the pocket clip would be useful on palls or molle webbing but I don’t see it ever being used for pocket carry. I put this on my backup surefire z2 and it sits in the nightstand. I don’t like running weapon based lights so the finger hole gives a great indexing point while reaching in the dark. It didn’t fit my intended use or daily work but it has found a home. It’s a neat toy but nothing I couldn’t live without.

Interesting Concept
I think this product is well-made, but fitment issues and awkward operation lost me.I bought this for an Elzetta Bones. When the tailcap is first screwed down, all seems well, but if the clip gets rotated, the o-ring tucks under the edge and stops doing its job of keeping a grip on the clip.My other problem was with drawing out of my pocket. It’s extremely easy to hit a snag when drawing quickly from front pants pockets, which is my main mode of carry. It works really securely on molle webbing, however. If you’re looking for retention, this may be the clip for you, but I want to have my light at the ready without having to think twice about it.If you have the right model of light and aren’t carrying your torch in your pocket, this seems like a fine item. It just didn’t work for my needs or my particular light.
