Needed a way to give the kids some flare to their controller. Reviews weren’t wrong. This thing is pretty and the install took only 10 minutes (I’ve cleaned my controller before so this was easy peasy). And the included screwdriver worked great. No stripped screws here.What really dings this thing is that no matter how careful I assembled the shell or re-assembled (multiple times), I just couldn’t get it to line up like the original shell. The gaps are shown in the photos. The first install took 10 minutes, the subsequent disassemblies and re-assemblies took more time and they all had similar gap results.I have decided to leave the shell on because the kiddos like the color so much, but if it was me, I’d send it back. Too bad. It is pretty.

Love my new shell! Very retro cool and was extremely easy to install. Ended up using the original translucent back piece as I think it looks better in two-tone but that's just a personal preference. Kit comes with everything you need but use your own screwdriver set if you have one as the screwdrivers they send with have very weak magnets and magnets make things much easier when re-assembling.Overall quality seems to be very good. Everything fit together just like the original shell. The plastic feels good in the hands, it doesn't feel cheaply made. It is a soft feel and long sessions playing Metroid Dread have not lead me to feel as though it's uncomfortable in any way, nor does it make my hqnds get overly hot or sweaty. They say it isn't rubberized but it feels soft like it is. I love it.I love the look. It looks very comparable to the original SNES controller color-wise and they iffer different color options for the D-Pad as well if you'd prefer it to be purple rather than the standard dark gray. It's nice to have something custom and a bit different from everyone else and it's honestly kind of shameful Nintendo doesn't offer more factory options as far as their controllers go.Highly recommend this product, and the price is well worth it. It's not an overly difficult project, just follow the swap videos on youtube and you'll be fine!

I purchased the pink version of this controller shell in December of 2019 for my daughter. It installed ok and was fine for a while, but the soft-touch plastic has degraded and gotten sticky over time the same way cheap rubber sometimes does. I have tried cleaning it with rubbing alcohol to get down to the good plastic but no luck yet. Going to try some Goo Gone on it next. I'm just irritated that I threw away the original controller parts and cannot switch it back. Would not buy again.

I got this in the mail today, I tore apart my brand new pro controller, and had this new shell installed in about 20 minutes. I watched a short tutorial to get an idea of where all the screws were, teardown took 5 minutes, the reassembly took about 15 because I got the y button upside down somehow and it didn't fit together, took it back apart and fixed the orientation. The screws were difficult to handle, but with some tweezers, I had them all in their respective holes shortly. The fit and finish is great, it has a silky texture that is nice to the touch. I am pleased with the look and feel of this shell. Definitely a nice purchase, and the assembly process was smooth. I was able to fit this together easily without removing any electrical wiring, just prop them apart gently and transfer each piece one at a time. Happy customer.

I have used extremerate before for joycon shells but this is my first time changing the pro controller. I expected it to be a simple and easy job and it would have been the case, had the backplate or back shell not have a defect. There is a peg in the middle of the back plate that is slightly off position when compared to the original and because the middle peg was obscured by the board (the one that has the L,R etc triggers) that you have to remove and replace, i could not figure out what was the issue until i accidentally disconnected a ribbon cable (which did not have to be disconnected) and saw that the middle hole did not align with the middle peg. I used some pliers to try to chip off the edge and managed to squeeze the hole into the peg.It would have been perfect otherwise. Not sure if i got a bad batch or this is how their backplates for the pro controller are.

Less than two weeks and it’s stained everywhere from just using it slightly and placing it down on a desk.

Has great in hand feel. The install was not too difficult but I did have to use different screw drivers than the ones that came in the kit. The parts also do not fit as tightly together as the stock case. Overall it is a great product at a good price and I would buy it again as well as recommend.

The plastic is very cheap brakes easy broke one spot put it back together, just screwing it in wasn't even like forcing it, just melted the plastic through the friction, don't buy extreme rate this is the 2nd product I bought from them very poor experience. There product is as weak as their name.

I know, I don't use the red directional pad, but that's because the original NES controller doesn't have a red one either, it's black so I stayed with my black d-pad!It looks and feels amazing! Some people complained that it stripped their screws, not sure how they managed that unless they really don't know how to unscrew and screw stuff in or are rushing or using a power drill. You can find tons of tutorials on Youtube, including ones for this brand. Installation does take a bit of time (10-20 minutes) could be more or less depending on experience. Get ready to undo EVERY part of your controller though. But if careful and following instructions, you will blast right through this easily. Don't rush it like those others that are complaining and you won't have issues.Again, the quality feels amazing and all buttons mash perfectly, everything feels right and as it should, comes with everything you need to install (you might need tweezers for a small part inside though) overall is a great product at an affordable and respectable price.
