Let’s face it you don’t buy an alarm clock for the radio. This one is the same as most. What is different is the brightness of the display. My old alarm clock has a brightness switch and it’s set on high in the picture. Between the added brightness and the projected display (which you can turn off if desired) I can actually see the time in the middle of the night without wearing glasses.

Read a lot of reviews before buying. Didn't want bells & whistles, just a projection clock. This is just what I was looking for. Large, easy to read screen, set up instructions are clear & easy to follow. Didn't need a radio but guess it is a plus. Have already used it even though I didn't think I needed it.Screen reading is very bright - has 3 settings, 2 actually since the 3rd is 'OFF' (who turns off a clock screen?). High setting is really bright & I wasn't sure if it was too much for sleep, but it isn't for me. The Medium is just that - medium.The projection isn't as bright as my old clock but once the room lights are off it is very readable. I ordered this product mainly for telling what time it is without fully waking. The DreamSky Projection Clock Radio does the intended use perfectly. I often awake a few times during the night. Now I can open one eye, see the time, then go back to sleep if its too early. The digits are large and just the right brightness in red color.The front blue display time is quite bright, I have the front of the clock-radio facing the wall so it does not bother me.I really don't use the other functions of the product.Everything else seems to work. If you want a great sounding radio, look elsewhere.To tell time at night without moving a muscle in bed, it's great!

I purchased the alarm about 2 weeks ago (to replace our existing ceiling projection alarm that had gone bad). My wife and I both love this purchase and have it located on the night stand in the bedroom 2 feet from our bed.Things we like:+Big BLUE display on the clock face. It can be adjusted to Bright, low or OFF mode.+Ceiling RED display that can be turned off (or flipped/angle adjusted). Ceiling projection and clock face display are not too bright and allow us both to sleep easily at night.+Easy to set the time/radio/alarm. Has a single button to adjust DST settings+Radio with antenna wire, volume, etc. Speaker decent, but could be crisper+Alarm starts out soft and gets louder. Shut it soon so that you dont wake others up.+USB Type A port to allow me to connect any USB cable to charge my phone/accessories.Minor nit : While it does charge my phone , it doesnt charge it as fast as my dedicated charger. Love the BLUE readout because it is so easy to see without my glasses (nearsighted). Wish the projection feature was in same BLUE instead of RED because RED is more difficult to see clearly for many who have stigmatism. Also, would be nice if saving radio channels was easier. The clock is just great and my son asked for one for his room. I happily ordered a second one and he loves it too, especially that he can dim the display. Wonderful product!

I bought this radio because it projected the time onto the ceiling at night so that I didn't have to get out of bed to see what time it was. It worked perfectly.The digital time is nice and bright.What I didn't like was that the radio doesn't always work. If it comes on, it is usually static. I have turned this on every morning for the past week (I didn't unpack it immediately) Sometimes it works, mostly it doesn't. As an example. I set the ironing board up in my bedroom to do some ironing. I had just turned the radio on. Nothing happened. After I ironed for about fifteen minutes, the radio came on, worked for thirty seconds, went to static for fifteen seconds, then went off never to come back on. That is fairly typical of what I have experienced for the past week except that I don't usually stay in the bedroom for any real length of time ( just dressing) during the day.In other words, I could call it useless except for the time projection.I would not recommend this radio to anyone!!

Purchased as a gift for Mom; she loves it! Small enough to fit in the little shelf in her TV cabinet, easy to read numbers on the clock from anywhere in the room, uses the ceiling display to know time when she wakes in the night. It must have been easy to set up because she required no help to do it. No complaints at all. Would buy another if needed.
