Amazon Basics AB-T106 Universal Toilet Fill Flapper Repair Kit, for 2-Inch Flush Valves

Just installed 3 AmazonBasic AB-t105 in my 3 toilest. I was easy to instal, I think the hard part was to remove the old outdated ones. I like the modern design with minimum parts. It was quiet and functioned well. I hope they will last for a long while.

Once you figure out how to adjust the height, it's easier than any other fill valve out there. Also impressed that it has an inlet screen to filter out the pipe crud that is the death of most valves. Glad I got it before the price doubled. Wish I got two more.

If you’ve installed a few of these in your lifetime, you know you really don’t need the directions. Thank goodness because the directions that do come with this are pointless. Between the random pics of things they are suggesting you might use, to the included parts that are not all typical, your guess will be as good as mine as to where they may be used....if at all.Besides that, this seems like it will be a very good product. I was replacing 4 Korky fill valves that I thought at the time were great, but only lasted 6 months along with a corresponding $800 water bill. This product on the other hand is much more solid and once installed the water stopped on a dime! I’ve had great luck with other Amazon basic products such as paper shredders and it appears this item is just as well made. We shall see but so far so good!

Was a little confusing on the lock part to remove but check to see if you even have to take it off to adjust size at all. Other than that the appliance works like a charm.

Received a prior returned valve, returned it because I had no way to know if it was defective without installing it.I have replaced many toilet parts over the years and understand how the parts all work, my issue with this is the poor instructions for someone that is doing this for the first time.How about someone at Amazon actually look at what they are selling under their name and correct the flaws of the instructions?I gave this 3 stars because I like the design, ordered a valve of the same design by another maker.

I am a retired plumber and this is a new product to me. It took a few minutes to figure out how it worked, but a very interesting design. The "switch" on the side says "on", "off", on and off what? It should be lock or unlock, but that won't fit on the switch. Only time will tell if this is a good unit. It looks like it would fit a variety of tank depths due to the range of adjustments. I gave 4 stars because the direction could be a little better.

Very easy to install, an adjustable wrench was all I needed. Height adjustment is simple(water level in tank)just push up the unlock tab and pull up for more water or push down for less than relock an your done.

As advertised. The product was easy to install and a good value for the money. Take it easy tightening it to the tank or you may strip the plastic nuts.
