How can it hold fins 110 cm if it is only 102 cm in total length? i have some diver carbons at 40" i want to know if they will fit

The bag is 110 cm (43 in), and it can hold swim fins up to a length of 100 cm (40 in).

Does anyone use just this bag to store freediving fins & gear as checked luggage on a flight? is it sturdy enough after padding with a wetsuit etc.?

I wouldn't recommend that. it doesn't seem secure enough. better off carry it on.
