Good but eye wateringly expensive spice mix
During lockdown 2020 it has not been possible or practical to pop to the shops every time you run out of something. Weekly grocery shopping has become the norm which is absolutely fine as long as a. you have not forgot something, b, the supermarket is not out of stock of one of the items you want.I found myself in this predicament having run out of garam masala and my local big supermarket similarly having none in stock. First world problems I hear you say and you would be right, there are certainly worst things in the world and we are lucky that we usually have the choice of such an abundant array of items to tickle our taste buds.Fancypants as it sounds, Garam Masala is, of course, nothing more elaborate than "mixed spice". It is the mix that is important and making sure that the spices in the mix are good quality and fresh. You can buy all the ingredients which are cinnamon, peppercorns, coriander seeds, mace, cumin seeds, and cardamon pods and make your own of course, but it is more convenient (those first world luxuries again) to buy it ready made, that way at least you know that someone has taken the time and effort to make sure the blend is right. In normal times, you can, of course, go to a market store and buy garam masala for a fraction of the cost of this blend from Go Spice which, at £7 for 90g is quite exorbitant when you think about it. It arrived quickly though and is decent quality stuff. It makes your eyes water, but only when you think of the price.

Use there website
First of all, don't buy straight from Amazon I did and paid £7 discovered upon delivery they had a website and they are sold at £4.50 free delivery over £18 and there is loads on there.!!I got this so my Mum could make Bobotie glad I did as the blend smells divine, sweet, fruity and spicy.. And for the Bobotie it's definitely a new addition to menu list in my house 👍🏻

Beautifully blended and fresh!
I am delighted with this product. In addition to the blend and freshness, most important to me is that I have FINALLY found a curry blend that does not include garlic. I have a food intolerance to garlic, garlic can easily be added as a fresh ingredient if wanted. The smell of this blend is divine and transports me straight back to happy days in Natal. I will be a regular customer! I also bought the Cape Malay blend, equally delightful!

A great dry rub
This is pretty flexible & can be used as a base prior to adding coconut milk etc however, also great as a dry rub for meat & fish.Flavours hold out well though the cooking process & don't require long periods to bring them out / balance.

Amazing aroma, great spice
Great spices, so reminds me of home (South Africa) that proper curry flavour and fragrance. A little on the expensive side but worth every penny! Would buy again and would highly recommend this product

Smells wonderful and excited to try
Saw a recipe for Cape Malay Curry and decided to find it...where else but Amazon...bought with some other South African sauces and delivery was quick. Opened the Malay powder and it smells great. Not Indian and not Chinese...will be trying it this weekend.
