They go from freezer to room temperature with no problem. I wish Tubbermaid still made the available.

This is such an excellent bottle if you're looking for one with a wide mouth/chug style. I ordered these since I was looking for a replacement for a bottle like this (made by a different company) that is no longer made.I wasn't expecting the plastic on these to be as flexible and soft as it is, but they are very sturdy and leak-proof. They are also a nice size for tossing into a work bag or backpack.The spout on this is also the only one I've ever had that is grooved to conform to the shape of your mouth while drinking; it doesn't have sharp edges, and is so comfortable to drink from. (I know that sounds almost silly, but I've never had a water bottle that has that grooved shape to it!)Mine also came with the thumb-holes on them, unlike the set that another reviewer received.Also, although these don't mention anywhere (on the bottom of the bottles on on the packaging that they came in) whether or not they're dishwasher-safe, I've been washing both the bottles and lids on the top rack of my dishwasher to sanitize them, and they've been fine.It's also thin enough on the bottom to fit inside a neoprene sleeve and yet still fit in my car's cup holder.This is such a great set (especially for the price), and the two-pack means that I can have a clean bottle while my other one is in the dishwasher.

I've had one of these for about 5 years, use it daily at work, put it through heated cycles in the dishwasher, drop it, throw it, generally abuse it, and it still looks the same as the brand new ones I just ordered. So I wasn't replacing my existing bottle, I just decided to get a couple more. We like to take one with us whenever we run errands (we live in Texas and the sun is no joke). I don't care for the plastic loop that comes on it, but it's very easy to cut off, so it's not an issue. And they are a tad difficult to open at first, but they break in with use. I've thrown mine in a tote bag when it's full of water and it has never once leaked into my bag, so I don't mind a little extra effort being required to open it, because I can trust the seal.

I know plastic is bad for the environment but these bottles last...and last!! And the snap top, great! You know the top is closed when you hear the snap!! We actually have about 6 of these bottles so we can change them out regularly, easy to wash, drip dry! We have never had a problem with any of these bottles and I bought some in a smaller size to use for my grandchildren when they visit; they just go to the fridge and drink...or for after-school pick ups: I take them snacks and their water bottles...We really like them, take them whenever we leave the house...love that snap top!

I've used the basic chug bottles for years. They were more than adequate. I just upgraded to the premium version this time. These are superior in every way.- Better plastic.- Better shape. (Bottle body is slightly oblong.) Great, comfortable "hold".- "No gasket" screw-on lids. Much easier to clean.- This version has a wider bottle opening for adding ice cubes. (You'll use this feature in the summer!)- Lids have "one-handed" flip open spout. It's larger and keeps the mouth contact point while drinking very clean - (Great while cycling).- Last, but not least is the plastic carrying strap. Can carry 3 or 4 bottles out of the frig with one hand.- I liked the first pair I purchased so much, I ordered another.- Like I said in the heading to this review, do yourself a favor and get a pair!Update: I've now purchased 6 of these bottles. You simply can't go wrong with them.

I bought a pair of these from this seller back in April, and recently bought another set (in store) since I lost one. I use these as my everyday water bottle. I carry them everywhere - purse, car, work, home - and count on them to be leakproof and just the right size. They are a great size, but over time the caps do not click on as tightly when closed. So far that hasn't changed the leakproofing of the bottle generally, except when the cap is bumped (fairly hard) or dropped at the right angle and pops open. Granted, my toddler also likes to steal these from me and pop open the lid with his teeth, so that is probably what has added the noticeable wear more than normal everyday adult use. He is able to drink from this bottle easily, though, so it is a good pretty durable bottle for kids too.Recently I started mixing electrolyte powders into my water and the plastic has definitely absorbed the lemonade flavor's smell somewhat (despite keeping that drink in the bottle for maybe 3 hrs a day and rinsing with hot water right after, then washing in the dishwasher same-day). I don't mind it, but I also don't recommend using this bottle for a variety of drinks if you care about it absorbing the flavors/smells -- just stick to water or one consistent drink (like if you always drink the same smoothies or protein drinks).

I used to have a metal water bottle, but I dropped it and dented it so much that it wouldn't stand up without some wobbling. Also, it would rattle in the treadmill or bike water bottle holder and the opening was too small to really get in there for thorough cleanings. These water bottles are working well for me so far. No metal rattling, no wobbling and you can screw off the top for easy cleaning and fitting of large ice cubes. The drinking spout feels nice and natural, although it can be awkward to drink from while running. At some point you just have to decide if you want to drink from a nipple or not...I decided not. The loop makes it easy to carry around with other items. I haven't experienced any leaks. I always make sure the top snaps completely before putting it in a bag.
