Please read the book I wrote below, I love this knife
This is my first review of any amazon product. I usually don’t take the time to leave a review, but I’ve looked pretty meticulously for over 3 months researching. The best value for the money, best steel, most reliable gentleman carry knife. At an affordable price point, first I was looking for something that I could easily open with one hand and I have large hands. I’m 6’5” and use large to XL gloves this is my review of the Harnds Wind transparent/jade g10 knife. This knife at first seems small, but that is as designed, holding with the clip shown In my review is how I one hand open this knife. I bought this knife in the g10 jade, because it looks very much like real jade from a distance and draws no real attention as a “tactical” knife would (black blade,handle, serrations, etc.). I wanted something very unassuming and for a knife less intimidating. My main concern with this knife initially was the clip, but to my surprise it has never once slipped when the clip is fully seated in my Pocket. . I’ve Carried this in, jeans, thin workout attire, underwear, and even in a suit coat pocket and swim trunks... This is one of my favorite knives for the pure aesthetic. The transparent G10 under darker lights seems more green/blue. But under direct light from a fluorescent or halogen light it seems to carry more of a transparent/blue-green hue. What really attracted me to this knife, compared to CRKT, GERBER, BUCK ETC. The contrast of the jade G10 and the blue ring at pivot point. Most knives generally from a distance all look the same and are ubiquitous... I wanted something different something that was unique. That fact in itself has brought me to the conclusion I will be carrying this knife as EDC. I do not foresee this knife failing anytime soon, I do not use my knives lightly. As much as I care about the appearance, it must serve its functions as a tool as well. The blade came sharp out of the box, the tip is very sharp and I was able to use the tip itself to slice paper with little effort. So be aware this knife is very sharp and very low profile. This also is not something I feel in my pocket while wearing thick pants, i do not feel the handle rubbing on my thigh but you can feel the security of how the clip is seated and secure. I view it as an extension of my pants and is very unobtrusive. It is not too light that it will be completely unnoticed, but the strength you feel when you get this knife in your hand cannot compare the quality of others at this price point (under 50 dollars) that I’ve ever witnessed. The steel is hard and It holds an edge very well. The sandivick steel is no titanium but, the build quality, smooth locking, small flipper knife that is quite frankly very pleasing to the eye. Is perfect for the gentleman looking at something very sharp in aesthetics as well as practicality. I would recommend this knife to anyone in a state that has length restrictions as this knife is JUST under 3 inches. Or wants a unique look, and very classy high end appearance without the high end price point this is the knife for you.I was very reluctant to buy this as there are barely NO reviews compared to other knife models and brands out there. I’m simply a gentleman looking for something to use as the constant annoyance of dull steak knives is quite... sad. So that’s where this little guy comes in... If you keep this sharp as I have, you can easily slice through over an inch of tough steak with little to no effort even without any serrations. I have no doubt in my mind that I can put my life behind this tool coupled with my training/experience. The same time as I was looking for something as a gentleman, I wanted a reliable and effective tool for any and all situations. This is the best 30+ dollars I’ve spent on a knife in over 4 years. Value, quality and utility, I would give this knife a 5/5. I do not see in any way there could be an improvement. This is a very well thought out and useful tool.

Excellent-Five Stars is not enough;
Fit, finish, detent, action, are all superior as is the steel! It is a joy to flip her!Not used to batton redwoods, this little, exquisite, tool, will glide through normal EDC tasks during the course of a day while remaining a beautiful knife to carry. The pocket clip is more than adequate and the weight of the knife is not noticable during carry.Although this is easily a "gentleman's knife" it would be equally ideal as a " gentle woman's knife.The steel is one of my favorites which will take and hold a keen edge for quite awhile and which is easily stripped, or, if needed, sharpened to restore a razor edge on the blade.I, most highly, recommend this knife to anyone interested in a superior knife at a modest cost for what you get!

Too Small
I have 10 pocketknives and am currently in search of the “ideal” affordable flipper pocketknife with a ball bearing pivot. I’ve been looking for something on the lighter side with a deep-carry clip and not too bulky in my pocket. I also have no use for thumb studs. Lately, I have been favoring my Kershaw Skyline and Ruike P801. This Harnds Wind knife seems to have excellent build quality and flipping action, but it is just too small for me. I don’t have giant hands or anything, either. When the blade is deployed, it is just a disappointment to me, like looking at my childhood Swiss Army Knife blade. Everything else about this knife is great, just a size too small. FYI, the blue ring around the pivot is hardly noticeable, it’s much darker in real life than in the photos. I also tried the Harnds Talisman and thought it was too big and bulky for what I am currently searching.

It became my favorite EDC knife!
I bought this as an experiment while I was waiting for a sale on a certain Kershaw Leek model that I really wanted.My initial response upon receiving it was a bit underwhelmed. It was my first knife with G10 scales, and that just felt cheap compared to the smooth metal finish of a Leek.Also I found the action very stiff, requiring a lot of finger pressure to get the knife to open, despite working it for a few weeks. But I had the tool for disassembling it, so I did so, and cleaned and oiled it. When I reassembled, I didn't tighten the hinge as tight. Wow, magical difference! Swings open easily with a very snappy 'snik' now.Since then, I actually got the Leek I was waiting for (shown also in my pic), but to my surprise, I prefer carrying the Harnds! It displaced the Leek because it's super slim, rides lower in my pocket, and opens easier. They both use the same steel amd cut equally well. The Wind is so unobtrusive, I've actually forgotten it the pocket of sweat pants and slept just fine with it there.So, I'm loving this little thing. I have the model with yellow grips, which I like because it's very easy to see in a satchel or on a cluttered nightstand. Never thought it would replace a Ken Onion knife that costs double, but it did! I'd happily buy another if anything happens to this one.

Ive daily carried knives for 20 years THIS is my favorite
I use, and respect my knives so that being said its not going to make a good pry bar, but as a tool that you use daily whether its cutting open packages, cutting the occasional electrical wire, zip ties, and hoses etc. This knife has been my favorite of 100 plus knives in my collection its not so big takes up pocket space and i was actually able to start carrying it in my back pocket next to my wallet instead of making my front pocket hard to access for keys and other items. Then since its an inexpensive knife it is the perfect candidate for abuse. i use it on many occasions that id never have used a knife for. I have since bought 3-4 mores as gifts and a backup this has been in my pocket for at least 3 years without replacement. If you want a cheap daily carry that feels and operates well without being to large to comfortably carry this is it.
