Quality materials and great design choices made this a safe and awesome choice!
Well, I'am a hardcore user of backpacks, specially the ones for 17" laptops and for street use. That said, I must confess this is much better quality than I expected based on other folks reviews here on Amazon.Quality, finishing and looks:This backpack is clearly well done with top notch materials, from the ziper to the inside fabric, everything looks really nice and well selected. The backpack design itself surprised me a little, because in the pictures looks slightly flat and not so shape consistent, but in fact is the other way around, even empty it looks good. The orange internal color is brighter than I thought and is really soft... maybe too soft for a future cleaning job, but looks good!Size and daily use:looking from outside the backpack look small because it has no corners in the design, but in fact is a quite large backpack, with lots of room for many items and lots of internal pockets that have been proven really useful. Fits perfectly my 17,1" Pro Toshiba Laptop that is a monster laptop in size. At the same time the backpack and its straps are amazingly designed to make the weight of the laptop to be distributed more even in the straps, even when you leave a strap shorter than the other, the weight still feels balanced... that is extremely good for long walks and in my case to use with a Bicycle or Bike.I use this backpack everyday when ridding a bicycle, and it really feels comfortable, and I must say that the reflective materials clearly helped me in some possibly dangerous situations, and cars drivers let me know that the backpack reflecting was what they saw in the dark. So KUDOS for Everki for that life saver feature!Cons:The only thing I can mention is that the interior material in so soft and fluffy that I know in the future I will have some problems cleaning that, but nothing major. And the only design flaw I found was the top small strap, it is positioned in a really bad place between the 2 straps and not in the top of the back pack... making hard to lift the backpack with heavy weight and compressing the weight against your fingers and the backpack back.I loved this and will definitely buy products from the same manufacturer again!

I use it with my 13 inch Macbook and I like it
I've had it for a couple of days now. First off, my use case: I'm a 2nd year medical student that carried and Macbook Air 13 inch, 4th gen iPad, occasional book, and water bottle. When I first received it I was concerned that the laptop pocket would be too big. It is big, but I use a case on my macbook air and iPad and that takes up a bit more space. There's STILL quite a bit of space left in the laptop compartment when the macbook is in there. There's a little velcro thing that in theory should keep your laptop snug but it is way longer than needed for my air, so when the velcro strap is attached IT DOES HANG LOOSELY. I know that may bother some people so I want to put it out there. It doesn't bother me much b/c i keep my scarf there and that works nicely for me. I think the pockets are VERY WELL designed. The backpack hangs close to my back which is the way I like it. and doesn't "poof" out as much as I see other backpacks. It does this without those side buckles I've see in other backpacks (which I'm not a big fan of). It's a medium to large sized backpack which fits me just fine (I'm 6'1") but may be a problem with smaller users. The backpack feels a bit stiff right now but I think that's how backpacks are at the beginning. My last backpack was a Jansport Jester, which I really liked, and that lasted me 6 years and felt very pliable. I expect this backpack will get like that over time. I will try to write an update after I've had my backpack for a while.

Great bag and it fits!
Have an HP Elitebook with the 17" screen and the huge brick power supply. This was the second backpack I ordered - the first one was another brand 'fits most 17" ' did not include MY laptop. My laptop fits in this one, it will hold some files and the power supply, has a pocket for my tablet, a zipper pocket for pens/pencils, more pockets in the front for pens, pencils, thumb drives, a mouse, etc. The front pocket is really deep and goes down to the bottom of the bag. I'm 5'6 and visit different plant sites for work. The laptop and power supply are heavy, and a shoulder bag made me list to the side like a disabled war ship. This backpack fits well, holds what I need, and looks to be well made with heavy stitching, heavy duty zipper, good heavy materials. I will update after a few months about durability, but after trying it for a couple of weeks, I am happy with this purchase.11 month update - The stitching right where the corners of my laptop are is pulling out and the fabric is fraying. This is not necessarily a fault with the bag, because my laptop (16.125 x 10.5 x 1.5) was always snug in the compartment. My zipper broke too (thanks to our new puppy), so I am replacing it with the slightly larger Everki Beacon, I think.

A well made, low profile, durable, carry-everything for your 17" portable PC.
This bag was chosen specifically to tote an MSI GE-70 17" gaming laptop. The fit is as if it was made for it. With ample padding on both sides of the laptop and a velcro holddown. While all the accessories for that laptop: power brick, long cords, corded mouse, thumb drives and DVDs are also easily stowed, the bulk and awkwardness of those items can cause the pack to bulge outward as there is no specific place for bulky items. There are plenty of smallish places (even hidden) to put flat things, but one of the appeals of this pack is that it doesn't stick out far from your back if loaded properly. Regardless, this is a big and roomy pack and it can hold quite a bit if you want it too.Airport security requires the laptop to come out of the pack in every airport I've been to and get x-rayed separately, so you unzip one zipper and unbind the velcro strap and the laptop slides right out to be easily placed in the plastic tray leaving the rest of the packs contents as is.
