Product update: I have had this tape on my sofa for about two weeks and has left residue after trying to remove it. I paid $2500 for a new sofa and praying to god I can find some sort of cleaner to get it off. Plus all the time it is going to take me to scrub this off..... Ironic it’s supposed to “protect” your sofa from cats but leaves a sticky residue. I would never recommend this to anyone. The spray has worked just fine I just had to spray it every few days - which I would much rather do. Go buy the spray.First Review which was at 5 stars: I just put a lot of money into a new sofa with two cats. I thought the material of the sofa would withstand cat claws better but nope. I bought this tape and it’s easy to apply. My dogs hair does stick to it if she rubs against it and sometimes one of cats will lick it.. but I think it’s the spot with hair? Not sure but animals are weird sometimes. It does it’s job. I’m hoping this “trains” my cats to not claw those places. I’ll take it off in a few more months to see how that goes..

I bought this because it was supposed to be a deturant for cats to keep them from scratching and stuff. I picked this one thinking it was wide and I am trying to keep a new kitty off of my kitchen island. I have video of him sitting on the tape eating food out of a bowl. It did not effect him at all!! So I pulled rhe tape off my island because supposedly it would not leave any marks. That was incorrect. As you can see there are marks everywhere I put the tape. I am bummed because it did not work and it left a film that you really can't feel in the surface. Double loss for me.

Wow - this stuff is very sticky. It was so sticky that I was concerned about our furniture surviving a peel-off. And we weren't sure it it would really work with cat. Well - It works very well. We could see where she went to claw the couches on the corners one time - and she never tried again. After about a month, we took the tape off, and she seems to leave the couches alone. Also, there was zero damage to the fabric. I am glad we have some extra on the roll in case she needs to retraining.

I think this is a good value. Maybe some people don’t need so much, but my cat is scratching my bed sheets. Also, I suppose if you had company- after the pandemic, you might want to take the tape off for guests. Fairly easy to use. Comes off regular fabric without ruining anything. I have not tried it on say, velvet or leather.

This stuff works well and is a much better value than the strips of tape that come on a sheet. You get a lot more this way. The cats have stopped scratching my chairs! Yay !

I used this tape to deter my cat from scratching my old leather armchair, and it worked well for that purpose.However, when I removed the tape from the chair, bits of leather surface material were stripped off leaving lots of unfinished streaks along the chair back.Your mileage may vary depending on your furniture's age and material, but I'm disappointed the tape caused just as much damage as the cat might have.

I bought this for my friend who has two sweet cats. It was easy to use to apply on the sofa and every doorway in the house. The cats has stopped scratching furnitures since we applied it and it stays in place well! Did great work!

This tape is awesome. I ordered it to arrive just before my new sofa and loveseat did. As soon as the furniture was in place in the house, I started taping the corners and sides of the furniture. My cats are very disappointed the furniture wasn't their new scratching posts. It's been 2 months since the tape went on, and it's still working like a charm. Finally I can have nice furniture without it becoming shredded in a week.

the cat licks and chews this tape making it useless.
