Porsche Design TecFlex Bi-Color Steel and Gold Ballpoint Pen - 988790

I've read several articles now that say a man needs a few things in life and they all seem to agree on a few things: a wonderful spouse/partner, great friends, a nice watch, and a signature pen. I've had this pen going on 12 years now. It's rare enough that I have not seen anyone else with it. It's mechanism is unique in that the entire body of the pen flexes when you click on the top of the pen. That feature alone would make it outstanding. But the design with the Tecflex material gives it a unique appeal that turns heads when you use it. I disagree with one of the other reviewers who felt it was uncomfortable to write with. I have not experienced any discomfort in using it. The price has crept up in the last 12 years, but every once in a while, you can see one on sale for less than $200. It comes in silver or gold and silver combination. I think it's worth paying the extra for the gold and silver combination. It's a beautiful pen that gives its user distinction and sets you apart from the usual Mont Blanc/Waterman crowd.

Very attractive pen but the way the pen grip is manufactured is actually abrasive to the fingers. It is not realistic for all day usage.

I did not expect the product to be this great specially the mixture of the bicolors silver and gold metal threds. To use the pen I simply click like the mechanical pen, it is very impresive when pen compromise and the thrad comes together in a deffernt shape. I am very lucky to have this pen

Excellent quality for the price and esthetically appealing. Writes well, great grip, and the delivery was extremely fast. Great buy if you are looking for an anniversary gift or something special for those Porsche lovers.

The Porsche Design TecFlex ballpoint is big, heavy, well-balanced, comfortable for large hands, and has a unique non-slip woven barrel and clever click mechanism. I've been daily-carrying and using this pen - steel and gold - with Parker gel refills when those came out - for all my notes every day for over a decade. It's acquired a bit of patina and character with dents and tiny flat spots in the mesh, and survived several drops, and still works like new. The clip is still tight, the solid 14k gold wires continue to gleam, the satin stainless finish is un-marred, and the pen is often admired by others. It is handsome, durable, and a reliable companion.

Purchased 2 for 18th Bday & graduation for 2 nieces - OMG, they are beautiful! Solid in the hand, comfortable; hopefully a gift they will treasure for a lifetime (or more), and maybe remember their old Southern uncle long after my passing.
