Rawlings | HEART OF THE HIDE Baseball Glove | Traditional Break-In | Multiple Styles

My HS ballplayer loves this OF glove! Word to the wise: we’ve had gloves steamed at store to ‘work in’. Read that it makes lifespan much shorter. So true. His SS glove has had big problem with hardened lacing after a year. Take the time to buy conditioner and work in yourself. Not hard and the glove is now perfect after 2 days of working it in. Fabulous glove. Highly recommended!

Great glove. Love the hand-sewn rawhide external side welts. This is a custom glove touch that makes the inside of the thumb and pinkie fit smoother - and it looks cool. Brown color is classic and beautiful. Leather is typical top-notch heart of the hide, smooth and tough, and quite stiff until breakdown. This extremely high quality leather assures the glove will retain the shape you break it in to for ages. Laces are thick and supple, the best in the business. The closed web doesn’t seem to make the action of the glove appreciably stiffer, and of course is perfect for concealing grip position when pitching.

This glove was stiffer than expected, not really a lot faster to break in than conventional Heart of the Hide models. The fit and feel is much more like the Wilson A2000 due to the dual welting on the fingers and flatter pocket. Very little heel padding. In this size, and it’s also pretty light and fast handling. But it still has that cushy, substantial, “thick” feel of a Rawlings, which I prefer. Very good looking too.

This is based on first impression only and not actual game use yet.Quality leather, very comfortable, a little heavy, but is a big glove so that is to be expected. I like the finger hole placement, the wrist strap is lined and very comfortable as are the finger holes. Break in seems like it will be easy enough. So far it is the top pick for my son.

Bought for my husband. While a bit pricey, the glove is amazing quality and fits like a glove, ha! It’s hard to find options for 13” left hand throw first base gloves- but this beats all other options hands down.

Great fit and feel. Typical stiff HOH leather that takes some work to break in, but maintains shape extremely well and love the thick supple palm. Lay off the heat and oils and just work it. This model is a great choice for those who are used to an 11 1/2” Wilson A2000. (I use both). Similar size & shape with better laces and thicker leather. Great looking too.

Bought two of these for my daughters who play accelerated softball. 10 and 12 years old both infielders. There is a brake in period of 1-2 months before glove really forms to hand. Once you break it in, glove is superior and you can tell you will get many years use out of it as the quality is fantastic.

Interesting color combination without the gaudy colors. Would be perfect for Texas A&M or Miss State fans. Usual perfect Rawlings workmanship with very high quality leather and lacing. Really hard when new, but softens up reasonably quickly after a week or two if playing catch. This pattern is very comfortable and versatile.

Los tiempos de envío fueron excelentes, como siempre.No cuestiono la calidad del guante pero sí las condiciones en las que venía.Al parecer el guante era el que tenían en exhibidor, ya había sido utilizado o al menos moldeado por otra persona. Primero, no traía los cartones que usualmente trae entramados al guante con las características del mismo. No traía el tag o "llavero" que usualmente traen guantes de esta gama. Traía varias manchas ,al parecer de grasa, en distintas partes del guante.Creo que es importante mantener ciertos estándares de calidad al vender un producto de este tipo. Y en caso de que no cumpla con las características de un artículo nuevo, especificarlo en la publicación.

Excellent glove to infield players. I ordered two gloves. One hoh and another mizuno classic pro soft. This order came in correct as per product description whereas mizuno came in opposite to the product description. Whatever.This is one of the best colour choices for the hoh

This glove is beautiful, love the color way, single post web, and the leather will last a lifetime. Due to packaging errors, it took a couple of times for amazon to send a glove that wasn't pancaked.
