It worked well for us. We tested it out on a piece of cardboard first. There is 3 different setting on the texture. The smaller works best. Pretty easy to apply one figured out the setting on the cap. The spray quality is good. The look is blent in with the rest of the wall. Don't have any smell to it. Dries quickly. For us it was around 30 mins.

Got the job done. After patching my hallroom door I didn’t want an in even surface. While this was my first time using this product, at the end it did spray chunky regardless of shaking for more than a minute before use. I did a couple test burst sprays in the beginning, to find my setting, went with full spray pretty much and began as instructed from about two-three feet above with smooth motions. It’s was enough to cover one side of a door in one pass and then ran out. I would add to let it dry for more than the instructions, I would give it an hour to be safe at least. I touched a spot after 30 and it was wet still and ruined that little spot. Overall you can see my result in the photo. May get another bottle for the other side of the door but will decide after I paint and put it back up. One of the photos shows the chunky part I mentioned.

Sprayer stops working 2-3 seconds after product is employed for use. The product itself, from what I could tell during my two-second trial on cardboard, is fantastic.This product is commonly defective, per the reviews, and as such, has been made unreturnable. Items that are defective should not be sold, period, but especially not with a non-refundable marking. Non-refundable items should be more clearly marked or have a warning before being added to the cart.The item has a requirement, in the return process, that you contact Homax support- but the link goes to an error page, only reinforcing my frustrations and feelings that the company may have no intention of correcting the product, emphasizing the nonreturnable marking, or offering support. Amazon was able to process a refund, but this took time and now there is one more piece of unusable junk headed for a landfill. I am disappointed in you, Homax, for selling a product in a dysfunctional container and not linking customers to support via a working link and you, Amazon for not having better warnings on non-refundable products, for making it hard to get to customer support chat, and for allowing poorly rated products to continue to be sold and incovenience customers.

This stuff is EXACTLY what I needed, exactly as they describe! I replaced an old (1960s) bathroom ceiling fan unit that was much bigger than the new ones, so I had to patch and mud. This product matches the ceiling texture very well and dries quickly and is very easy to use.

I like the texture this produces. I can never get my spackling repairs to be invisible after painting. However, I am able to spray this over the repair and blend into the rest of the wall, making the repair invisible after painting. I gave it just four stars because it runs out very quickly and I wish it had more coverage. I suggest buying extra.

10 oz small can. It is good for a small patch job, but coverage is at most 1/2rd of what is advertised on the can.. This is the water based I think, and I ended up buying the oil based can to finish the job. The oil based seems to come on with a better texture (more gritty maybe, but same 1/2rd at most. I'd use it again for quickness, but not a first choice.

Before my current project I had never used any sort of drywall texturing. This product was straight forward and easy to use.HEADS UP! Make sure that your initial spray of the can isn't on your wall - do it on a piece of trash as the can takes a second to pressurize so that first spray is a bit wonky.The texture I was attempting to replicate was on a wall from the 50s so it was heavily textured. I used two cans to cover an area that was about 4' x 4' or slightly larger. I used an entire can to blend the textures, let it dry a day and then sprayed the other can to even it out.I will say that the following day when I went to add paint, i noted that there was some pitting happening. The texture is basically a foam so I realized that I was "breaking" the surface of the foam with my roller and causing the pitting. Moving forward I only painted on the surface once and very quickly as to avoid any extra adhesion from the paint I was using.Overall, it was a good experience and you can *barely* tell my wall has been redone.
