My 2.5 year-old GSD goes swimming in our backyard pool every day, but no amount of towels ever seem to get her thick, double coat dry. I bought this (XXXL Microfiber) to put on her after towel-drying to prevent the furniture from getting soaked — and it works great! I take it off after an hour or two and she is almost completely dry afterwards. After hanging it up to dry, it’s ready for use again the next day.I did have some sizing issues. My 85lb pup would have been an XL or XXL if I went by the chart, but based on other reviews, I sized up to an XXXL. This seems perfect to me. It covers her body well and doesn’t drag on the ground, and I would rather it be a little big than too small.The coat itself seems well made and I’ve had no issues with the stitching or material. My one complaint is that the hood/front “collar” could be a bit tighter. Right now, when my pup walks into a cabinet knob, it will often get caught and undo the velcro closure. Not a huge dealbreaker, though. One handy feature is the “loop” of fabric near the very top of the coat, which gives you a perfect way to hang the coat up.All in all, I would very much recommend this product. I am unsure how well it works if you don’t towel dry your dog first, and I imagine that depends on how thick your dog’s fur is. My pup is absolutely DRIPPING and soaked when she gets out of the water, and I think this coat would just get soaked through if I put it on her without towel drying first. It may be okay with shorter-haired dogs, but I would recommend at least giving them a quick rub-down with a towel before putting this on. Keep in mind that, if you dog isn’t used to wearing things like this, they may not tolerate it’s use. My dog was very upset the first few days that she couldn’t properly shake dry while wearing this, but she’s accustomed to it now.

Its lightweight, beautiful color and design, dries fast. and there's a unicorn on it.. her favorite. I'm not fond of the material, I should have paid attention better when ordering but it's my preference opinion and she absolutely loves it and the one using it. As long as you like microfiber, it's an amazing beach towel. It's just a texture thing for me in my dislike of the material in general. The towel is not ‘beach towel’ quality. It’s thin, the edges are raw with white slip stitch around the border. The fabric of this towel is on the thinner side but it works great. this towel is perfect for her. It's made of 100% cotton, so it's super soft and absorbent. It also dries quickly, so she can get back to swimming in no time. It's also very lightweight, so it's easy for her to carry it back and forth to the pool. The towel is also very well-made. The stitching is all even and secure, and the fabric is thick and durable. I'm confident that this towel will last for many years. It's a high-quality, absorbent, and quick-drying towel. I recommend 100%

My dogs are 90 pounds and 80 pounds. They are both wearing XXL and it is working well for them! I love that my house isn’t drenched after bath time. They don’t seem to mind wearing them and they are easy to put on. I’ve used them about four times now and they are still in great condition. The XXL cant fasten around my 90 pound dog’s neck but that doesn’t matter since the rest fits well.

- Updated review Dec 2023 -After two years of love from my water dog the Velcro is starting to fail. I’m either going to buy another one or remove the old Velcro and replace it. That will also allow me to make it custom to her. But a pain in the butt. Still debating. I would still recommend and purchased a second for our friend.-Original review Dec 2021-Highly recommend. We freaking love this thing. So great for getting out of the bath or after a river swim. Our dog likes to dry off on the walls and this helps keep our house clean post-bath. She doesn't seem to hate it either. Our dog is a 77lb black lab and we ordered the XXL. I am happy with the size, but it is borderline too big. When I wrap the center thing around her stomach I have it on the max tightness.

I have a fluffy Pittie who loves clothes. But she does not like her feet to be touched. So I found this and got it as an alternative to the sweaters and shirts that go over her head. Interestingly, this is cheaper than the dog coats and shirts but it is sort of better in the way it fits. I have a great pyrenees and basset hound. The XXL could feasibly fit all three. We actually used it for a bath town on the pyreneese and it worked. Absorbed a lot of moisture and protected the car from her shaking the excess water off from her bath at the dog wash.

I ordered this from reviews saying to size up. I did and it is too big! I ordered size medium for my 30 lb frenchie. It was hard to put on and too big to keep it on him but it did pretty good in keeping him dry. It saved my carpet and rugs from being wet from him trying to dry himself. The velcro is very strong.

I read a ton of reviews on other similar bath towels/ doggie robes. I decided on this one based off other reviews. The one thing I needed help with was sizing so I'm writing this review to maybe help someone else with the same issue. I purchased a size small for my Boston terrier and the fit was perfect. The way the velcro belt is designed it is very adjustable. The material is thick and very absorbent. The two elastic bands that go around the hind legs help hold the robe in place. I was so pleased with this purchase that I'll be ordering a few more!
