Another Amazon Auto Repair - Well Done!
To my door in under 48 hours - and cheaper than any auto parts house. I have found more and more auto parts require at least a one day wait even when purchased locally. The local trend has been using these store fronts to sell trinkets and keep the hard parts in a central location and push them out as needed (typically in one day). If I am going to wait a day, I may as well save some cash - so amazon is the ticket for me. If you are a Prime member, it is a no-brainer.On my most recent repair, I purchased an alternator (no core charge), a serp belt, and a tensioner for WELL under the cost of the alternator alone. My order on Monday at 1pm arrived Wednesday at 9 am. Alltogether I saved over $100 on this single issue - simply brilliant!

Does not fit 2004 Ford Explorer 4.0 V6 XLT
I purchased this for a 2004 Ford Explorer standard 4.0L V6. Amazon listed this belt as fitting the engine correctly, but something isn't quite right with this belt. Immediately after I installed the belt, it was squeaking at start up and a continuous squeak continued while driving. I compared the length of this belt to the old one and it looked correct. The major difference between this belt and the original are the ribs/grooves cut into it. The ribs on this belt are not deep enough and I don't think they were making solid enough contact with the drive pulleys to get effective grip. I had to replace the belt with a more expensive Dayco belt and the squeaking has since stopped. So yes, the belt fits, but squeaks like mad.

A penny spent wisely, versus an expensive breakdown on the road side!
Always buy, and replace serpentine belts, when the rubber stops looking like rubber, and starts to resemble brown, stiff, worn, cracked conditions.Cheaper than a breakdown, and towing!ALL rubber hoses, belts, together, on an engine, cost less than one tow! Change them every 5 years, to avoid expensive problems!
