Vessel works well and the cover is a surprisingly good fit. The metal clip, however, is woefully lacking. (1) it simply doesn't fit, and you have to bend it into shape. If you're a little off, the shape is out of whack. (2) it either slides off prematurely during boiling, or requires two hands to remove it, while the glass vessel is very hot. It should be on a pivot, so it is always connected -- not a separate piece. All-in-all, this product prepares the eggs perfectly, but the clip is a major drawback. I'd probably look elsewhere, if I had to do it again.
