Loved this map! Took us a while to install, especially since we didn't follow the directions the first time and had to buy another map. We have orange peel texture on our walls and we we're able to paste the map over it without problems. We found that brushing on a thin layer of paste to the back of the paper and the wall then using a small roller to even it out worked the best to apply. It does stretch if you get it too saturated or if you don't work quickly. Also works best to smooth it out with a heavy sponge. We didn't have one but a soft cloth would work too. (We found this out when my husband started using his shirt to smooth out the edges. He eventually took it off and used that.) Just using your hands could stretch it instead of smoothing it out. FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS and install them in order!

This map is great, but it is kind of a pain in the butt to put up. My wife and I spent a good hour putting it up and lining it up correctly and stapled it into the walls. I believe she said that the instructions were to glue it to the wall but we weren't ready for that and decided to go with the staples instead. That worked better for us I think because she's a bit of a perfectionist and wanted it to line up perfectly over each other. Once it's up it looks great and its nice and large, taking up most of the wall we put it on (which is what we wanted). My only wish is that it would have been one large piece of paper instead, but I bet that would be hard to ship.

The map is simply stunning and the soft colors are perfect for my décor. It is really tough to put it up though – I made it a family affair. The paper is thin and once wet tends to stretch a little, so the last panel did not match too well. In my map, PARIS is now ARIS, but in spite of that, I'd still recommend buying this map.

I had been looking for a wall map for a while, and all were at least 3x the price. I was afraid this would be low quality, put it far exceeded my expectations. Beautiful colors, lots of detail... and BIG!

I bought this for my classroom wall and its amazing! It isn't laminated which I will have to figure out but for the price its a great addition for a World History Class. I did pin it up with push pins, tape it together, tape the edges (for strength) and then I was able to staple along the tape so it wasn't damaged. I've already moved it for next year and it held together very well.

The map is pretty with good colors and crisp labels. However, I can remodel a house, lay flooring, plumbing, electrical, paint, build custom home speakers, rebuild motorcycle engines. I could not get this to hang without wrinkles, bubbles, and smudging of the map. When trying to align the second panel to the first, the adhesive smudged the ink on the front of the map, the paper was soaked and started to deform, and now the map was no longer square to accept the other panels.This was a $40 exercise in frustration. You've been warned.

I purchased this map as a wall mural on the staircase wall. It looks nice in the box, but my dilemma was I cannot get high enough to put it where I want.

Did everything in the instructions: cleaned wall, made sure it's flat without any imperfections. Applied paste with special wallpaper paste brush. Once paste is on, the wallpaper becomes like a wet piece of paper. Very difficult to handle. I applied first top corners and slowly with a felt squeegee started working downwards. At the beginning everything seemed fine, no bubbles and the wallpaper was sticking uniformly. After a few minutes, tons of bubbles and creases everywhere. The wallpaper expands while on the wall creating all these problems. Of course the next sheet will not match because you would have to put all 4 pieces at the same time on the wall, to maintain the same expansion rate. I don't understand why they didn't make a single piece of paper. Will most likely remove it and find something better.
