Oken Swimming Earplugs Audible Ear Plugs for Swimming, Surfing, Diving and Water Sports

I've been diving for many years and have to wear ear plugs due to a hole in my right ear drum; if I don't wear them, or they leak, I get water in my middle ear and it takes days to clear it out. I've been using the brand that been on the market for a long time and they work very well; however, I was going on an extended dive trip to French Polynesia, thought I better bring extra plugs, so I decided to try some new types out. I began my diving with these ear plugs and never even tried the other new brand I bought. I dove 24 times, down to a maximum depth of 165 feet, and only had an issue once. I am a 59 yr old, 5'10", 190lb man with a decent build. This package comes with a right & left body, a case, small/med/large inserts that fit into the ear canal and small/med/large securing hooks that lock the ear plug into the ear ridges. I wore the medium hooks on all dives and never had an issue with the ear plugs loosening. I wore the medium canal inserts for the first 10 dives or so; they did not feel REAL tight but I had no issue until the 11th dive or so. This is when after descending 15' I felt a bit a water get past the insert. I may not have inserted it in far enough, I don't know. In any event, I switched to the large insert and had no other issues throughout my remaining dives. The price is half what I was paying and they seem to hold up well. The case is VERY handy and I store other plugs in it as well as the original. Give them a try. I hope they continue to work for me and they work for you as well.

I like these ear plugs. They are very audible which is great as a swim instructor. The only complaint I have is that they don’t always stay in well while I’m instructing and I find them floating in the pool.

This work really well didn’t keep all the water out of my ears but did a better job than the other plugs I have tried. Considered the wax or silicone ear plugs until I read many revuabout the plug milting in peoples ears and having to have painful surgeries to get the substance of the ear plug off there ear drums and out of there ear canal. Happy with the product. Now I can swim without the discomfort of water going into my ears.

I cannot recommend these enough!!! My 10 year old is autistic and an area of particular sensitivity is her ears. We are doing swim lessons and these earplugs are the reason she can finally put her head under water. She can hear the instructor and still not be over stimulated by water going in her ear canal. I imagine they’d also be great for a regular swimmer avoiding swimmers ear.

I still am not sure exactly how the engineering works in these... the sound comes in, but the water stays out. Bottom line is that they work. In training for a triathlon, I was having trouble getting my swim stroke down because of the water entering my ear on the head turn. Once I got these, the discomfort went away and I was able to keep the water out of my ears and complete my first triathlon.

I swim laps. I own another pair of ear plugs, which have “wings”, if you will, to keep the water out. They do a good job, but I need to use the straps on my goggles to keep them in place. I have trouble hearing our group leader call out reps / sets to swim with those in, and bought these as a possible replacement.They do an ok job. In surface swimming, they fit reasonably well, and stay in place better than my other pair (haven’t tried using them without goggles to keep them in place, but it seems like they should stay put, frankly). That said, I think they might be letting in a little water. And I bought them (at a premium over my other pair) so that I’d be able to hear better while wearing them. From that perspective, they fall a little short. I can maybe hear a little better, but not noticeably, really.If buying anew, for my purpose of swimming laps while using goggles, I’d just buy my “other” pair again, as cheaper and more comfortable. If looking to use earplugs without goggles, these definitely stay in place better on their own. In terms of hearing better? Meh.

Very lightweight, almost forget they are there. Can hear great, and they keep the water out. Make sure to try each size, small, medium, and large for both the plug and the hook to get the right fit. Great product.

Had a really bad experience with my ears getting infected, so I tried these and thank God I've been pain free!! Cool thing is they don't block sound....weird, but awesome.
