Scythe Kotetsu Mark 3 CPU Air Cooler, 120mm Single Tower, AMD AM5/AM4/Ryzen, Intel LGA 1700/1200/1151 (Kotetsu 2, SCKTT-2000)

Bought this to cool my Ryzen 5 3600 and it’s doing great. When using my pc and for most games it’s pretty quiet. When I to CPU encoding is about the only time I can hear it and even then it’s not crazy loud. I got it for $30 and for that price I fully intend to get a second one for a different PC running a stock cooler. Mounting and installation was a breeze and it looks great. Would absolutely recommend.

Mounted on an AMD Ryzen 9 5950x. At full utilization of compute-bound workloads, CPU settles in the high 60s (65C-69C). For memory-bound workloads, high 70s (75C-79C).

The cooler arrived well packaged. All of the parts were organized. The tower was wrapped in a layer of styrofoam. Everything was free of damage out of the box.The top of the cooler has a neat cover with the Scythe logo. This part is plastic, not anodized aluminum, despite its brushed metal finish.The included fan has a black cable with black techflex sheathing. The techflex should help keep the cable safe. Definitely something they could've saved costs on but included anyway.The cooling pipes are okay but I've seen better. The pipes on the unit that I received were not as clean as those shown in the listing images. At the price point it's fine.The contact panel seems good. As with basically every other cooler it comes with a plastic film over it to protect it from dust, dirt, or oils. It appears well machined and was free of defects.In my opinion, the mounting springs are a little weak. They feel like they don't offer enough pressure. You may be able to use some washers as shims to boost pressure.Included in the box was an extra pair of metal wire brackets if you want to add another fan to the other side. This is appreciated as some CPU coolers forego this, even though it's a cheap way to offer better cooling performance.I can't speak to this cooler working for 115X sockets. For LGA1700 it works fine. The included bracket is easy to use.Performance-wise it's average or slightly below average. It's a budget cooler so this is perhaps expected.At the time of writing this review, the price of this cooler was $29.99. I think it's hard to complain at this price, but I would only use this cooler for a budget build. There's a lot of competition in this space, and for $10-$15 more you can get the tried and true Hyper 212, which comes in all black.

As usual Scythe is amazing. This cooler punches WAY ABOVE it's weight class. Will recommend to ANYONE....

Upgraded mounting system. Reasonable quality fan. Very good overall quality. Handles I5 11400 CpU at 65 watts no problem

Great cpu cooler. Came in much earlier than expected, and installation was easy. Had a bit of trouble screwing it on, but managed to in the end. Barely makes any noise. I would recommend this product!

Nothing wrong barely fit my millimeters the sexiest thing ever

So scythe almost always hits it out of the park. They may have struck out on this one. My issue with the cooler is that the center screw under the fin stack itself is loose. I have made every attempt to tighten to it's max, but the whole tower still pivots when it's fully tightened down. Perhaps this is a weird feature or I got a defective unit. Either way it struggles to keep up with my 12600k. Max fans under gaming load it tops out about 80c.Waiting on scythe to answer my support inquiry regarding this issue. Will update review accordingly.

The media could not be loaded. Se você não se importa muito com rgb ele é simplesmente o melhor que você pode ter na faixa de preço. Irmão mais novo do Fuma 2 e primo do Mugen 5 ele é simplesmente fantástico. Mesmo sendo um Air cooler ele mantém as temperaturas do processador bem baixas mesmo para um CPU como o meu Ryzen 7 5700g que por natureza é um pouco mais esquentadinho.Combine com o uso de uma boa pasta térmica como uma Thermal Grizzly ou, como no meu caso, uma CM Cryotofuse.
