Case is not 100% water proof! Mine leaks and lens fogged up inside after just a few days. Save your money and buy something else.Follow up review after 2 months of use. My drop cam in now broken due to this case not being water proof! I should have sent this piece of garbage back when I discovered it leaked after very light rain. I took the drop cam inside after it stopped working and put it in a bag of rice to try and dry it out. After 4 days I removed the camera from the bag and plugged in the camera and it still does not power up so in the trash for a $200 camera.

Very simple, but nice housing for my Yi camera. You should know that if you intend to use a Yi camera with this product, you will need to make some alterations to be able to use the IR function of your camera. I had to heat a box knife, and cut shorter some plastic inside the case to allow my Yi camera to fit flush against the clear piece at the front of the case. With the camera flush against the clear piece, the IR will produce a proper image without IR reflection. Until there are cases like this made for Yi cameras, these nest cam accessories will do fine with some hacking and adaptation. I like the case, just wish I didn't have to go to such trouble to make it work for Yi cameras.

I have an old dropcam that i wanted to repurpose. Unfortunately, i couldn't get this enclosure to close all the way. This is for outdoor so that's important. Also i don't think this fits well with the power cable. Looks like it would be pretty hard to fit. The nest cam cable is a bit smaller, but the old dropcam ones are pretty beefy. Oh well the search continues. :)

one night in the rain, camera stopped working. went to check on it in the morning, lots of condensation can be seen from the lens side of the housing. upon opening the housing, it was all wet inside and an my nest cam is dead.

I bought this after using a different 3rd party outdoor Dropcam Pro case whose cord fell apart. This was the only case on the market that I could find, but thankfully it works very well. I have no problems with reflection of IR/nightvision. It has been installed & in use for 5-6 months now and we haven't had any problems.
