Great for bicycling
I am ordering my second pair of these glasses for bicycle touring. I loved the first pair but they got scratched. They worked great in all light conditions from blazing sun on the Spanish highlands, to the hazy and reflective conditions on the coast, to rain, to nighttime darkness. I wear contact lenses and these glasses fit closely enough to my face to keep my eyes from getting seared by the wind. Unfortunately, when I put them in my handlebar bag during a rain storm, the lens rested against an abrasive surface in the bag and 50 miles later abrasion had worked through the coating leaving a scratched area in the center of my field of vision. Yes, operator error, but the hard coating is not impervious. I only took them off in the rain because the salty sweat from my helmet pads ran into my eyes and I needed fresh rainwater to dilute it.

Great safety glasses!
I bought these for use at work and have been overall satisfied with them. They are comfortable and are adjustable into a multitude of positions. I have two small complaints about them: First, they seal pretty close against the skin on my face. This is great for safety, but if you work in an environment where you'll sweat a lot (I have to climb a lot of 250+ foot ladders) I've noticed sweat will pool up on the bottom of the lens frame. Second, they don't get very dark when they get in the sun. They do get slightly darker, but not really dark. These are both very small complaints and probably won't be an issue for 98% of buyers...but the reason we write reviews is so people know what they're buying, right? I'd recommend these glasses, and will probably buy another pair if these ever get lost or damaged.

Good looking photochromic glasses for under $30
I bought these for bicycling and motorcycling and they fit the bill nicely. I can wear these at night or in fairly bright sun. As others have noted, they do not get very dark, but the change is noticeable and effective. The temples adjust vertically -- there are three positions -- which helps to compensate for the rather thick frame's reduction of lateral visibility. I have not had any fogging issues yet, and on my big fat head I have not felt any pressure pain from the arms pinching.Pros: price, durability, optics, ratchet-adjustment, usable at night and in sunCons: Bridge is chunky and obscures lateral visibility, easy to change arm position by accident, only one color option

Width is too small
I ordered these glasses for my husband. As soon as he got them we could noticed that these glasses ran small width wise. The sides of his head were left with an indentation a mark from the side legs of the glasses. There is a gap between his brow as the glasses, so he was told that he couldn't wear them at work because they were not safe. The transition from light to dark is okay but he complained they were not dark enough.

Well made, almost perfect
I like the way these are made. They're strong and fairly scratch resistant -- two good things for safety glasses. And I had high hopes that since they were photochromic, they might double as sunglasses outside, but alas, they don't quite darken enough to handle the brightest sunlight. But they do darken a bit, and in many cases they'll be comfortable enough outside, just not on the really bright days.

Don't buy don't buy don't buy
Wow this don't do anything at all I left them in the sun for an hour and they didn't seem to change at all so I ended up covering one lense and leaving them in the sun and there was so difference at all. These should not be advertised as transistion lenses being that they don't do anything. They should have been a ten dollar pair of clear safty glasses. I am going to try ordering a different brand and I believe I am just going to return them because they are way to expensive to just be an ordinary clear safty glasses. Very let down don't be let down and waste your money like I did if I find some good glasses I will update this posting

perfect except not CSA
Perfect flex I even stepped on them and didn't break.. Auto tint works great ... Only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because there not CSA approved but still work for mid speed impact.. I do lawn care and get mad rocks in the lenses and there fine...

UVEX - SX0406
This are good safety glasses and that's it, if you expect them to get dark, well sorry to break the news to you, but they do not get dark at all when you exposed it to the sun.... From 1 to 10 as far as getting dark you only going to get 1, 10 being the darkest, you might as well buy some polarized glasses because this ones will do nothing, it totally defeats the purpose of getting dark or Being "Monochromatic" bull crap. Buy something else or buy it not expecting it to get dark at all.

OK, not more.
Shipped as advertised. Not very photochromic, I mean in sun it doesn't work very much as sun glasses. Then, comfort wise, nor very comfortable, BUT they do have adaptive angle of the frame on the ears. Also, I expected a better anti-fog capability.

Two Stars
They don't fit very well and do not get near as dark as one might desire.
