My living room television was growing old and was not handling newer technology very well. I took the opportunity (to the displeasure of my wife) to create my living room into a personal home cinema. I acquired a nice surround sound system and a reasonably priced 4k television. My pick was this Philips 50PUS7505 model and it was a good purchase.When the television arrived, it was very well packaged. It seemed the screen had plenty of protection and there was going to be some serious effort needed to damage it in transport. It needed a bit of a push to slide out of the box (was handles too much to ask for), but once it came out, it was very easy to get working. To my surprise, it's a very light TV. I have another one of this size in my bed room. It's only a few years old and is roughly the same thickness, but this television is considerably lighter and a lot easier to carry. The feet were easy to screw on and aren't the usual cheap plastic sticks they tend to put on the bottom of TV's these days, usually in an attempt to by an over priced wall mount.It only took a matter of seconds to get the TV up and running. The Netflix app etc was very easy to find and it connected to the internet very quickly. I had to fiddle with the settings a little as the picture was a little dark and blurry. But it only took a matter of minutes to fix the sharpness and the odd contrast settings. Once I had done that, I had a nice sharp looking 4k television. It has nice strong colours, motion smoothing, sharpness and many other features. All of which are easily adjustable through the menu.There's a number of HDMI slots in the back of the television, one at the side and it sits next to a USB slot. It's all reasonably easy to access, though the slots at the back may be a tad tricky if your HDMI cable is on the thick side. Once everything was plugged in though, there was no issues getting it to run. It detected my surround sound home theatre instantly and instantly played a film, looking good in the process.The menu can be a little awkward to get use too. Everything is well worded and easy to find, it just felt a little clunky to navigate. It really isn't helped by the weird cheap remote control. I would recommend getting yourself a nice universal remote, it'll be a nice jump in quality. As far as my experience goes, that is the only real negatives I have.I know this isn't the best television on the market but for what we paid for it, it seems to be an absolute steal. It's a really good picture quality, the built in speakers are nowhere near the worst I've heard and it's light and easy to set up. I really can't complain. If you're looking for a reasonably price 4k television, you may want to consider this thing here.

I wanted good quality tv at a small price as it was going to be used in an outbuilding so I didnt want to spend too much. This TV has surprised me, excellent quality, fast set up, smooth easy interface, satisfied customer

Was worried, when TV was delivered. Driver rang doorbell and ran away. Just left on the doorstep. Took in, and saw damage to the box. Luckily when unpacked TV was not damaged.Pleased with the TV, good picture and sound. Good for gaming. Had for a month now, no issues. Downside is the remote. Came with no instructions. But set up was easy.brought a universal remote. Overall good TV . Same about bad delivery.

Bit pricey but hopefully worth it in the long run

So on the surface this appears to be an excellent buy. Well priced, good size, 4k UHD etc. However, I bought this to play the new ps5 on. I am fully aware it isn't an oled etc and was absolutely willing to take that hit.When you try and turn the ps5 into performance mode to get the best graphics, you get an error saying the TV is not 4k UHD so performance mode isn't possibleSo saying its 4k UHD is a blatant lie unfortunately. Unsure why it was sold as this.

Bought this television almost 18 months ago and I am satisfied with its performance. No issues.
