New lint-free surgical huck towels are the most popular cloths used to clean windshields. Made of 100 percent combed long-staple cotton the tightly woven yarn keeps the cotton fiber from pilling and giving-off lint. These towels will perfectly dry glass without streaking. These towels also weigh 1.6 pounds/dozen.

Cheap! Rough! Do Not Get!
These are NOT quality surgical huck towels! They are coarse, rough, hems are fraying, thread count is very low. I've have a few from a friend who is a professional window washer, his are smooth, fine thread, high quality, very absorbent.I've attached a pic comparing the two, draping over my monitor to show the quality & thread count difference.

Total crap, thinner, more loosely woven, when compared to other huck towels I have purchased through Amazon, yuck to this huck!
This product is awful. So awful, that I decided to write a review. My job provides experience with many medical practices and "huck" towels. I bought a set some time ago, and when I held those older towels up to a window and did the same with these new ones I am reviewing now (after a machine wash and dry as indicated on the towels), I can actually see through the weave enough to identify flowers in my back yard. I will be returning mine and trying to find better thicker, more tightly woven ones, like the ones I purchased previously.

meh OK, Warning heavy Dye!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. these are OK towels. They stank out of the box and need to be washed or aired out. they do hold a decent amount of liquid but i did not find them good enough for the dinner table. they are really good as just cleaning or auto detailing. If you are looking for dinner napkins these are not it.My biggest thing is that they have a TON of dye in them to get to the colors you see. I had to wash them 3 times and they turned my washer orange. These really should come with some big DYE warning.I really don't know if i buy them again or give something else a try.

I use in commercial bakery/kitchen, then turn into cleaning rags.
I have used these exact ones for years and will continue as its the best value, but each batch (I keep around 50 on hand and buy a new set and every few months or when I have a dozen or more stained or torn as I go through at least 20 a week, someone's more in a single cake) - with each order the wuakity stays about the same, but they get less and less uniformly sized. I'm a bit of a organized freak so it's hard to fit them properly at times. Otherwise, they're awesome kitchen towels. I bake fairly elaborate cakes and pastries and keep a stack by me. Finish up, throw in laundry with bleach. Hour later - fresh white towels. You can (and shouod before first use) wash on longest cycle on hot and never use fabric softener. Bleach is fine. Dry as hot as you like. They hold up great.Mind you - spray treat with stain remover if you wipe coffee or wine or anything that stains asap. These bleach well but do stain so don't rely on bleach to turn back white if you don't rinse or soap it quickly. I keep a bucket of oxy clean or bleach water and throw in if I wipe a stain. They last for a long time - most get ruined as my husbands grabs them for stains instead of the bag I keep of old ones. The only complaint is really they get so inconsistent in size and every order now will have one or two so off that I wonder if I threw an old one in the wash with the new ones.I have used the blue ones but I find white are just easier for keeping nice, clients come in the kitchen and I don't know if they think surgical towels are abnormal for bakers but they also just are easiest to deal with cleaning.Star removed for inconsistent and getting worse size and not quality. The price is creeping up and I'm starting to look for other sources (hint...)

We have a large family (10 people) and were using a good $30/month in paper towels
I've bought 3 dozen of these towels and I'm about to buy another dozen. They have eliminated my family's need for paper towels and I cannot praise them enough! I use them for EVERYTHING I'd use a paper towel for...drying dishes, cleaning bathrooms (including mirrors and all other glass), dusting, mopping up messes, etc. We have a large family (10 people) and were using a good $30/month in paper towels, so these are really a money saver for us. One of the things I have done that the label says not to do is I bleach them. I bought all white towels and when I clean (especially bathrooms) I just throw them all into a bin and then into the wash with bleach to get rid of all cooties. I have not noticed any disintegration of the fabric at all...they're nice and thick. Another thing that is so wonderful about them, especially when it comes to cleaning bathrooms, is that they don't hold onto hair. There is nothing worse than finding a "clean" washcloth in the drawer with hairs that have become integrated into the fabric. Yuck! These don't work great for kitchen cleaning where food is involved. They're a little big larger than I'd like and they're a bit difficult to wash food out of, but I may try cutting them in half and using them, but for now I prefer the Scotch microfiber kitchen cloths http://www.amazon.com/3M-90322-Kitchen-Cleaning-Microfiber/dp/B009L7VPDO/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1422460440&sr=8-7&keywords=scotch+microfiber+cloths. I've done professional housekeeping for years and now with a big family, I might as well be a professional housekeeper. These are some of the products that keep my home clean and streamlined--as streamlined as a home as full as mine can be!

Not good quality
I am kind of shocked by the poor quality of these towels! A bunch disintegrated after the first wash.

Great Replacement for Paper Towels
I was worried based on the reviews that these were going to fall apart with the first washing, so I didn't wash them before I used them. That worry proved to be unfounded. They do shed and fray a bit in the wash, especially the first few times. They also shrunk, which is understandable and not that big of a deal. But they've held up fine and continue to be functional and in decent shape after several washes. YMMV as it may be a lack of quality control that led to other people experiencing the disintegration in the wash. These are cloth towels, not paper towels, so they're not going to be that quick absorbent you're used to. They are really great for drying hands and using as replacements for napkins or for cleaning up things that don't have to be delicately absorbed away from a stainable surface. I was really pleased with my purchase and am buying more so that I have more buffer before I have to run a load of them.

SIgh ... was great a few years ago
I ordered these towels twice ... once 2-3 years ago and again a few weeks ago. The earlier batch I received worked wonders for several years. This latest batch was of terrible quality. It didn't seem a QC issue as much as a completely different manufacturer using the same brand. They were thin and completely lost shape (and some lost threading) after a wash on gentle settings in my washing machine (same settings / washing machine that I've been using with my first batch of the product).

Horrendous!
I've purchased Doctor Joe towels a number of times over the years and the towels have been great. I just ordered some this week and VERY disappointed: 1. not the same colour as previously or as advertised, 2. poor quality with many having frayed seams, and 3. after the first wash they are crumpled and some have edges wrecked. Unfortunately I didn't take a close enough look at the bag they were packaged in before I threw it out as I honestly think these are not Doctor Joe towels, but some terrible knock-off. Thankfully Amazon has provided a refund. I'm leery of ordering them again, so I will wait a while in case it's just a bad batch.

Quality Issue.
I had ordered these rags years ago and loved them. I therefore reordered the same rags recently, and they are NOT the same quality at all.The weave looks different and they are thinner. After just 1 wash, they all came out crinkled and are very difficult to use.Others reviews about this issue have already provided pictures of the rags in this state, and mine look the same.No I am afraid to order surgical "Huck" towels from anywhere else as most seem to have the same problem?

Great quality and price
Got these because of the 4 Hour Chef, and they're exactly what you're looking for. They don't hold particles like other tea towels; a quick wash, rinse and hang on your oven door overnight and they're ready for the day. I was rationing that I would wear through 1 per month, however after 3 months I'm still on my first one and it's still going strong! The pack should last you a few years of everyday use. Don't forget to give them an occasional disinfecting!

They don't clean windows very well
I tried these hack towels for my car windows and they didn't perform very well. I had to use a microfiber towel to finish. I say these towels are better used in the kitchen.
